Cayenne Pepper Diet – Facts About Cayenne Pepper Diet
The Cayenne Pepper Diet, also know as master cleanse or lemonade diet or maple syrup diet, has helped many dieters to achieve a healthier body, lose weight, and make one happier in just a short 10 days. You will need to fast and can only consume the lemonade mixture in this diet. This would
help your digestive system to be cleansed. Years of toxins were claimed to be eliminated after a while.
Celebrities such as Beyonce have endorsed the cayenne pepper diet. She appeared on Oprah’s show and mentioned that she managed to lose 21 pounds after she embarked on this diet for 10 days. Since then, many other celebrities have followed suit to lose weight as well as achieve a healthier body. As Cayenne Pepper has many health benefits, many dieters have benefited greatly from this diet.
Many dieters who wanted to try out this diet fear that it is going to be tough. This is no doubt difficult as one would require to fast for 10 days and only drink the lemonade mixture instructed in the diet. Most dieters failed within the first 3 days and others have done the diet incorrectly. If done incorrectly, it may have some adverse effects on the body.
If you fear that you would starve and end up having no energy because of lack of vitamins and nutrients, you can rest assure you will have sufficient energy. The maple syrup in the lemonade provide carbohydrates for the body to sustain its daily activities. If you feel dizzy, fatigue, headache, nauseating, it may be because of the detox symptoms of the cayenne pepper diet. Experience dieters would advice you that those symptoms would just disappear after the next day’s flush.
Some skeptics criticize that master cleanse does not have any scientific proof backing it up and one would be healthy and cleansed just by going through a change in lifestyle.
However, there are many more people that have gave their thumbs up for the master cleanse. Some even have their diseases and illnesses cured after the cleanse. Even the doctors are amazed by the miracle.
These are some reasons why Cayenne Pepper Diet is effective:
The Health benefits of Cayenne Pepper
Not many have realized the benefits of Cayenne pepper. It is a member of the tomato, pepper, eggplant, morning glory, and nightshade family. It contains trace minerals, high antioxidants, vitamins, and capsaicin. Cayenne pepper is one of the hottest peppers on earth that has the miraculous power to heal.
Why does Cayenne Pepper Contain Medical Properties?
The main reason why Cayenne pepper has medical properties lies in its stem – Contains chemical capsaicin. Cayenne pepper are rated according to its ‘hot’ units, which are dependent on the level of capsaicin.
The hotter the pepper, the more beneficial it is to your body. Cayenne contains vitamins like vitamin C, E and carotinoids. Capsaicin can reduce platelets stickiness, increase your metabolism, stimulates the immune system and blood circulation. It can even kill harmful bacteria, germs, viruses, and other infections they may be hidden in our body.
How Does Cayenne Pepper Benefit Our Body?
If you apply Cayenne on a wound or a bite with some warm water, you will realize your wounds to be healed half the time it usually takes. This is because Cayenne can stimulate healing by increasing the blood flow and burn out the bacteria and viruses right out of the wound. Imagine how it will benefit your body from the inside.
If you have some illness or infection in your body, this herb can act as a miracle and detox your body inside out. All the congestion in the blood veins would be cleared. Hence with master cleanse, you would have a healthier body free of illnesses and diseases.

I started the diet three days ago and…well failed, I ate a handful of small rice biscuts (appox 100 cals) on each of the three days. I do appear somewhat smaller and confirmed it by getting into some rather tight jeans I couldn’t do up before, however accorinding to the scales I havn’t lost anything. I have read on other sites in relation to this diet that due to water retention your weight may fluctuate. Has anyone else notice this? Or should I start again?
I am currently 55kg (120 pounds) and aim to loose 10 kg (22 pounds I think) in two weeks to get back to my weight I was last year (45 kg or roughly 100 pounds). Is this obtainable? Do I have to cut out all food/coffee?
Thanks.

what can i substitute in place of cayenne pepper because i cant seem to find any cayenne pepper in my city? would paprika work cause that is the nearest substitute suggested by shopowners?
June 21st, 2010 at 8:27 am
How do I use cayenne pepper to reduce high blood pressure?
June 12th, 2010 at 8:39 pm
I think it should be noted that while it may work for some people, this is not for everyone and isn’t going to miraculously cure people with certain ailments. And also that it should not really be used longer than 10 days at a time though it can be used more than once.

@laura : I did a search and I think you can find katie jones book (master cleanse insider) at http://bit.ly/katiejones. Weight yo yo back? It depends. If you maintain a natural and healthy diet, I think you can keep it off.

February 8th, 2010 at 2:23 am
@Mariam : Maybe you can try this website where they can ship maple syrup to you. http://www.1shoppingcart.com/app/?Clk=3442258
Unfortunately, if you replace the maple syrup with other ingredients, you may not realize the full benefits of the detox.
February 8th, 2010 at 1:29 am
i want to start my detox but i can’t find maple syrup in my country. can anything replace maple syrup?
February 4th, 2010 at 6:49 am
I did not see a recipe for diabetics. Please inform me of the recipe.
Thanks…
February 4th, 2010 at 3:31 am
@keisha : You can drink anytime in a day but you need to drink at least 6-10 servings a day.
February 3rd, 2010 at 8:21 pm
how many times or at what times of the day should i drink this…..
January 20th, 2010 at 6:23 am
@Trina : Did you check with a doctor regarding your headaches?
Usually, you will lose water weight loss, may be a little of muscle loss, the intestines will be cleansed too because of the bowel elimination, so I would say that all these are what contributes to the weight loss.
If you want to have fat loss, this may be a good start to cleanse your body first and follow a strict healthy diet later on.
January 20th, 2010 at 2:18 am
Hello,
I’ve been reading almost all of the comments about the detox. I have been so wanting to do this cleanse but I am nervous about starting. I usually get headaches from not eating. Is there a solution to this?
Also, I’m just curious about something. Is there a lot of muscle atrophy (muscle loss)or water weight loss or a combination of both. I read that there is NO FAT loss. I know that this is only a detox but where is the “weight loss” coming from, the intestines being emptied?
January 15th, 2010 at 8:44 am
@lawanda : If you live in US, then maybe you can find the book. Otherwise, you would need to purchase it online.
January 15th, 2010 at 8:43 am
@Maganw26 : I don’t think you can work out much during the diet because you won’t have the energy to do so.
I’m not sure about the 3 days diet so I couldn’t give you much opinion on it.
January 15th, 2010 at 5:45 am
Question… If i was to do this diet for 10days and work out 2hours each day will this help keep the weight off and help loose more weight with in those 10days. 2) is this diet better than the 3da y diet that also does the same thing but you loose 10pounds in 3days…(go 2 WebMd.com 2find the 3day diet). Thanks
January 9th, 2010 at 8:26 am
I’m ready to get started, can I purchase the book from the book store?
January 9th, 2010 at 1:25 am
@lawanda : Hi there, yes, we are always here to help you =) what questions do you have?
January 8th, 2010 at 11:12 pm
I will start tomorrow. I need support and questions answered. Is anyone out there?
January 4th, 2010 at 11:26 pm
@Rebekah :
I’m quoting directly from this site at http://themastercleanserecipe.org/master-cleanse-recipe/alternative-master-cleanse-recipe
here are some of the instructions for Type 2 Diabetes:
2 Tablespoons of Freshly Squeezed Organic Lemon Juice or Lime Juice (never use canned juice, frozen fruit, or initially frozen juice)
1 Tablespoon of Agave Syrup
A tenth of a teaspoon of Cinnamon
8 oz room temperature water (if preferred, cold water can be used as well)
Procedure:
Incorporate the Lemon/Lime Juice, the Cinnamon, and the Agave Syrup in a glass (10 oz), or lidded container. Fill the glass or container with water, and stir or shake.Drink the lemonade mixture accompanied by 1 Cayenne Capsule
There is a specific reason why Agave Syrup and Cinnamon replaced Organic Grade B Maple Syrup and Cayenne Pepper in Type 2 Diabetes Master Cleanse Recipe. The properties in these ingredients are known for battling the effects of Type 2 Diabetes.
January 4th, 2010 at 8:35 pm
hey just reading through your comments and wondering how it might go for a diabetic?
and how much of each ingredient would I use?
January 1st, 2010 at 7:10 pm
@p2bplastic : Yes, you would need to do it for 10 days. The ingredients are organic lemons, grade b organic maple syrup, water, cayenne pepper, and also sea salt and laxative tea.
of course if you return to your normal diet, your weight will come back, this is not a miracle fast but a cleanse.
December 30th, 2009 at 2:34 pm
hello ..ok i heard of this diet i heard it goes hard..i want to loose mayb 5-10 pounds im 140 i want to b 130 do i have to do ten days and wat r the ingredients? from reading ur post im thinking i need to really take this serious would u recommend affirmations and prayer like a fast..also does the weight stay off? and 1 more ? does this curve ur appetite i figure it will b brutal the 1st few day but if i go ten days then my appetite will strink ? please respond to any ?
December 28th, 2009 at 8:37 pm
@Rachael Cramer : I would think that it would be better to use the original lemonade concentrate by making it yourself as it would be fresher and the nutrients would be intact. All the best to your diet still!
December 28th, 2009 at 9:53 am
I have started my diet today and actually acquired the taste for the cleanse super fast. I am using the Simply Slender Lemonmade. I am hoping I have enough will power to last the 10 days I need to be on it. I have been reading all of the posts and ya’ll are all very encouraging and thats what I need.Thank you all for your stories. Will let ya’ll know tomorrow if I think I will be able to make it. Happy dieting to all.
December 17th, 2009 at 8:37 am
@ms.ash : How have you been doing so far on the cleanse?
December 17th, 2009 at 8:33 am
@Sacha954 : Yes, cayenne pepper diet can help with allergies. But it also depends on what kind of allergies you are suffering from.
December 13th, 2009 at 2:26 pm
How do i make the drink. How much pepper, or lime or syrup is needed.
Thanks
December 11th, 2009 at 2:51 pm
It is said that the cayenne pepper diet helps with allergies(draining the toxins that produce the mucous and what not). I have really troublesome allergies that interfere with my everyday life. I just want to know if this is true?
December 10th, 2009 at 6:57 am
@shawn1414 : That’s a definitely no for caffeine! the purpose of the cleanse is to detox your body and drinking coffee would defeat the purpose.
@ms.ash : Welcome back! And do let us know your experience! Is this your 2nd time or 3rd time?
December 9th, 2009 at 2:41 pm
hi all! i did the cleanse in june and it worked wonderfully both on the outter & inner surface. By the end of it i felt spiritually cleansed as well as went down 5 dress sizes. Initially after finishing the diet i lost 15lbs after a 10 day cleanse. Throughout the months I went on to lose an additional 5-7 lbs naturally. With the new year coming I am happy to do the cleanse again. Day 1 starting today!! happy dieting
December 8th, 2009 at 5:59 pm
hello everyone, i plan on starting the diet tomorrow, i have eight days until i go home from college for christmas break and have gained about ten pounds since school started. hopefully i can get it off. the one concern i have is about caffeine. what are everyones thoughts on drinking coffee during the cleanse?
December 7th, 2009 at 6:29 pm
@Michelle : I think the maple syrup is still important, but compared with the rest of the ingredients, it is less important. As long as you use organic maple syrup, it is not that sweet and and they have the necessary nutrition to the body.
Diabetics need to use other ingredients rather than the maple syrup. If it is the most important ingredient, then it should not be able to swapped? What do you think?
December 7th, 2009 at 6:25 pm
@rona : I’m afraid you can’t eat anything except the lemonade mixture. This is because you need to rest your stomach and let it cleansed itself.
December 7th, 2009 at 12:24 am
I disagree that the maple syrup is not important. It is. If you read the official website or the book, you find that you need grade B or c as they have higher nutritional properties than the others. They are darker in colour and lighter in consistence. They are not as sweet as other maple syrup brands.
December 5th, 2009 at 11:31 pm
i want to start it by now but i want to eat, what are safe?
December 2nd, 2009 at 8:52 am
@Emily : the maple syrup is not that important. It is considered the least important ingredient. And yes you are right, it is most often said to give you the energy to continue the day. There are actually other substitutes available like fresh sugar cane, agave syrup etc.
November 30th, 2009 at 3:20 pm
Hey! I’m wanting to start this diet asap, but I have a question about the syrup. Is it vital to the process? Or is it just included to give you the energy you need to continue your day as you normally would?
November 28th, 2009 at 6:43 pm
Hi there everyone
Frenchmustard, you is very very funny. I tried to start the diet today. did not know,(until this site) that I should precleanse. Did fine all day. Then my vunerable time, the evening, had me eating a fresh, chewy, chocolate chip cookie with roasted walnuts that I made myself. After reading you guys, I am not giving up, I will consider this my precleanse day, and start day 1 tomorrow. I need to lose 20-30 pounds. This is a funn site. How much cayenne goes in a 16 oz glass of hot water and lemons?
November 27th, 2009 at 8:53 pm
@Jujji : According to the original master cleanse, you would need to eat organic or else you will be eating the toxins, pesticides, artificial flavourings. Hence I would advice you to eat organic..
November 27th, 2009 at 8:44 pm
Do they have to be organic? Will it not work if it is not?
November 20th, 2009 at 5:49 pm
@Jujji : The ingredients are as follow – organic lemons, organic maple syrup, organic cayenne pepper, distilled water for the lemonade mixture.
You can read the exact recipe at http://cayennepepperdiet.org/cayenne-pepper-diet-recipe
And you need to drink at least 60 oz of lemonade mixture each day. hope this answer your question!
November 19th, 2009 at 5:56 pm
Hello!well I want to start the diet asap but not sure on what the ingredients are exactly.can anyone tell what it is and how many times a day I am supposed to drink it?THANKS!!
November 12th, 2009 at 5:43 pm
@susanna : yup, if you can continue, you can continue on the diet.
Did your friend follow through the diet exactly?
About the capsules, you can just get any capsules, pour the cayenne pepper into the capsules, and swallow the capsules.
it should be the same results as everything just end up in your stomach with extra capsules in it.
November 11th, 2009 at 8:10 am
So should I just do 3 days and if I feel ok, I can continue? I’m working tonight through friday so I guess ill see how it affects my job. I had a friend that only lost 10 pounds, and another that lost 6 that’s why I’n a bit worried…how would I do the capsules? Would I have the same results? And jut drink the water, syrup, and lemons?
November 11th, 2009 at 8:01 am
@susanna : That’s a very long question you got there. Spicy – it is supposed to be spicy and some good tips that are provided by some participants are just putting the cayenne pepper into a capsule and swallow it.
If you are doing the diet correctly, you should lose more than 5 pounds. You will see your weight losing gradually and it should keep you motivated.
And regarding your 2 jobs, I think it may affect your work as people who do work out can only do the light ones. Maybe you would want to start with a 3 days diet instead.
November 11th, 2009 at 7:51 am
Hello all! So I guess I’m joining the crowd! It’s day one of my diet and it is soooooooo spicy! Maybe I did it wrong and put way to much pepper? Idk but I can’t take more than a sip or two at a time, it ends up burning my throat. I’m nervous that I will do thos diet and not lose much, I don’t want to starve for 5 pounds in 10 days. What’s the corrext way to do this? I work for 6 hours so when I go to work I put 2 cups in a bottle and took it with me, does that sound ok? I’m hungry already and I just started
I work two job, one of which is a waitressing job, will I get weak and dizzy? Will I be able to work? I have so many questions! Support needed please! I need to lose 20 pounds, is it do-able?
November 4th, 2009 at 6:07 pm
The drink is actually quite good… but I’ve gone with the Lemon Detox Diet which is basically the same thing, but with Palm Tree Syrup. It actually tastes like spiced tea which isn’t bad at all. The worst thing, which I could not stomach and made me dry reach was the salt water in the morning! I am substituting it with some detox tea so i’ll see how that goes…
November 4th, 2009 at 8:29 am
IS IT TRUE U CANT EAT ANYTHING??? LIKE NOTHING NOTHING JUST THIS NASTY DRINK ???
October 31st, 2009 at 5:42 pm
Love it, going for 40 days
October 31st, 2009 at 4:31 am
@mommyof2 : Lol.. I think you know the answer. I would think that it’s not okay as the drinks are harmful to your body one way or another.
October 30th, 2009 at 4:44 pm
Im on my 5 day and already lost 6lbs!!! Yey for me..but I do have a question since tomorrow is halloween and I will be going to a party would it be ok for me to have a couple of drinks??
October 29th, 2009 at 9:00 am
Yes i’ve been doing the salt water flush and the tea. i go every morning and throughout the day, but nothing but liquid.
October 28th, 2009 at 10:25 pm
@sabrina : cayenne pepper pills are fine.
About your bowel movements, did you do the salt water flush as well as did you do detox tea? When is the last time you release?
October 28th, 2009 at 10:15 pm
I am on day 10. I dont know if I am doing this wrong or not. Please give me input. I cant stand the burning of the cayenne so I substituted by taking cayenne pills. Is that acceptable? Also, when am I supposed to have a solid stool. Sorry to be gross if anyone is sensitive but I am curious. Am I doing something wrong that I should have had solid stool? Maybe I just dont have that much to release? I am 24. Please explain. BTW I do enjoy the smaller waist
October 27th, 2009 at 12:15 pm
Thanks Emma, im on my 2nd day and still hungry and no energy at all but staying strong. I do have one question, can I use limes instead of lemons? The reason I ask is lemons are very expensive right now.
October 27th, 2009 at 2:21 am
@Samantha : i think it would cost around $60-100 for the period of 10 days.
October 27th, 2009 at 2:15 am
@mommyof2 : yes you defintely could and all the best! the first 3 days are the toughest. do let me know if i could help u in any way!
October 26th, 2009 at 6:38 pm
about how much should this diet cost me?
October 26th, 2009 at 6:05 pm
I started my diet today!! 10/26/09..Im starving and I feel very tired! I really hope I can keep this up and that I see results…
October 26th, 2009 at 8:23 am
@Samantha : I think it doesn’t matter whether you have fasted before. If you think you don’t have so much will power, why not start out with a 3 days cleanse?
You can do some aerobic exercise while on the diet but don’t over exhaust yourself.
October 25th, 2009 at 7:13 pm
I have never fasted before, does this mean I shouldn’t try this diet straight away? I don’t think i have much willpower when it comes to that kind of thing.
Also, if i did decide to do this diet, should I not work out or anything?
October 22nd, 2009 at 9:22 am
@kimbo : It is advisable not to take diet pills and vitamins while you are doing the diet as this is a cleansing detox diet.
When you are taking the diet pills and vitamins, you are not allowing your body to detoxifying. It is best that you stop taking the diet pills and vitamins for the period of 10 days while you are on the diet.
October 22nd, 2009 at 9:17 am
can i take diet pills and vitamins while i do this diet?
October 21st, 2009 at 6:25 pm
@Craig : Cool! If they need any help, feel free to post their questions here and I’ll be here to help!
October 20th, 2009 at 6:47 am
After seeing my results, relatives informed others and now I’ve got them all, whom wants a few pounds off doing it.
October 20th, 2009 at 6:44 am
Yes!I was informed by a coworker, whom was going to start just as I did, but had to stop because of Meds.
October 13th, 2009 at 8:48 am
@Craig : Glad to hear that you have lost a total of 23lbs! Maybe you can continue a healthy diet forever! Is this the first time you are on this diet?
October 13th, 2009 at 8:45 am
@Jo : I would say all the best and you definitely got to push yourself very hard! I hope you have been continuing for these 2 days so far otherwise you would be wasting your efforts!
Maybe you can buy from outside for your children instead of cooking it yourself!
Hope you will succeed the diet!
October 13th, 2009 at 8:42 am
@kara : you definitely can’t use black pepper for this diet because cayenne pepper has too many nutritional properties that black pepper don’t have that is essential for this diet.
October 13th, 2009 at 7:27 am
hey guys,
was wondering if it is ok to use black pepper instead of cayenne pepper?
October 13th, 2009 at 6:02 am
Well! its been 2 days off from my diet and proud to say I’ve lost 23lbs.Im very proud of myself it hasnt been easy.I want to say for anyone on there 3rd and 4th day stay encourage my hunger stop after the 3rd day everything else became a mind thing.I started my Chicken Broth but I’ve jump into Tunafish to soon for most but it was “Delicious”.I plan to start back in December before the Holidays ,but now i feel great and everyone notice.P.S Craig
October 10th, 2009 at 8:37 am
Thanks for the advice for the juice. So apple juice is fine to drink?? And it was getting frustrating because this is so challenging to do. I’m on day 5 now and have lost 4 lbs. now. It seems that I’m losing a pound a day which is great but I really need to lose 4o lbs and there’s no way I can stay on this for that long. I’m half way through the 10 day process and not sure that I can make it to the 10 days. I’m really gonna try. I have 3 kids and cooking for them etc.-very hard to do. I really need to lose this weight but I guess I’m looking for a miracle!! Any suggestions??
October 9th, 2009 at 7:05 pm
@Jo : You can substitute with other fruit juice as well. For the easing out, it doesn’t really matter whether you drink orange juice or other fruit juices.
By the way, just curious, you mentioned that it is getting frustrated, why is that so?
October 9th, 2009 at 10:55 am
I am on day 4 now and have only lost 3 lbs. Not sure why not more. I drink 8 glasses of the lemonade a day. Doing the laxative tea at nite and salt water flush in the morning. I’m gonna try and stick with it but getting frustrated. Also, when coming off of it, you have to drink orange juice but I can’t drink orange juice-it makes me nausea. Is there anything I can substitute instead of orange juice?? Thanks if anyone knows!!
October 7th, 2009 at 4:47 pm
Well! I have to say the diet has been great.I’m on day6 and feeling good.I have to be honest by the second day I’ve became very hungry and cheated for half of a butter roll lol but, I got back with it.I became very tempted for the pizza with pepperoni that my coworkers had ordered, but refuse the night before.Though my hunger has stop by the third, my mind still think of the foods that i love. With a flatter stomach and four days to go I’m giving this diet the thumbs up.
P.S Thanks to cayenne pepper.
Craig
October 4th, 2009 at 8:14 am
@FaShara Marshall : Glad that you are on day 13! and wow, you exceeded 10 days!
October 3rd, 2009 at 1:45 pm
Ok i am on day 13!!! yea me!
September 30th, 2009 at 7:32 am
yea i am going to stay with it but just up the doses…
September 29th, 2009 at 4:48 am
hmmm.. that sounds very tricky there. i would think you should continue the current laxative. and maybe you should continue drinking both the tea and the salt water.
September 28th, 2009 at 7:15 pm
I am planning to go for the cayenne pepper diet and searching & reading more before starting it. One of my friend have done it for 6 days & lost over 10 pounds. I was wondering if we need to go for 10 days or can be done in different time frames?
September 27th, 2009 at 4:13 pm
Hi! Strange uh… well the first two where not just major Id say they where medium maybe like a three or four on a scale of one to ten…
I have been doing the flush….
and today I actually felt the urge to pass a bowl however it was like a drop and that was it!
I drunk the tea with the salt water in it last nite and this morning… Maybe that was the change.. But it wasnt much…
Sould I take another form of laxative?
September 27th, 2009 at 9:32 am
Hi FaShara, that is a tricky question there. Did you try the laxative tea too?
Usually when the participants done the salt water flush, all the bowel movement will just come. in your case, it didn’t..
How does your first 2 bowel movements like? a lot?
September 27th, 2009 at 9:06 am
Is this blog not in affect any more?
September 24th, 2009 at 11:30 am

Hi Veronica, this is a fasting diet where you are only allowed to drink the lemonade drink and only water for a period of 10 days.
You would need to buy sufficient ingredients in order to start the diet: organic lemons, maple syrup, cayenne pepper, distilled water. Have you sign up for the newsletter on this site yet?
September 18th, 2009 at 11:15 am
I am interested in starting this cleansing/diet. can you tell me how it works?
August 20th, 2009 at 2:57 am
Hi Shaikh Sattar, you can go to this site and read for the alternative for the maple syrup. http://themastercleanserecipe.org/master-cleanse-recipe/alternative-master-cleanse-recipe
Or another way is maybe you can import from overseas. Have you tried looking in organic food stores?
August 20th, 2009 at 2:33 am
I want to try the cayenne pepper diet & I had even purchased the ORGANIC CAYENNE PEPPER (Product of Spain) & thats all i can get here in UAE. But i am finding it hard to get MAPLE SYRUP. I would like to know what exactly it is & where exactly I can get MAPLE SYRUP. Is it necessary to include MAPLE SYRUP with the CAYENNE PEPPER POWDER.
Please suggest me the best.
THANKS

Hi Ar, actually you are not supposed to eat anything except the lemonade mixture for 10 days. But it seems that you are eating food and drinking the lemonade mixture at the same time. I’m not sure whether you have fully benefit from the cleanse or not.
However, it is of no problem that you drink it everyday.
August 19th, 2009 at 9:36 pm
Hi,
I have been drinking the cleanse for about 5 weeks now, I’ve lost about 10 pounds since I started. The cleansing really makes me feel good I eat 2 times a day breakfast & lunch and i still have my cleansing every 3 hours. Now I need to know how long i can do the cleansing as i would like to drink it every day as long as i can. Will it hurt my health?
Thanks,
Arcelia

I would think it’s alright for you to continue on if your heartburn is gone. Most people who got the heartburn usually becomes fine after a day or 2. Maybe it’s because of the detoxification process or symptoms.
I would say go for it if you can!
August 17th, 2009 at 2:14 pm
Thanks, Emma, for your response! This is day 5 for me and my bowel movements are practically next to nothing, I think I’ve flushed out most everything. Today it’s mostly clear water and tiny bits that are light orange to light yellow in color. I eased-in to the lemonade cleanse 2 days before by having fruits and veggies the first day and nothing but orange juice the second day. I’ve only been having water and peppermint tea today and I feel a lot better. If I feel back to normal tomorrow, what would you suggest I do? I’m feeling great and would be disappointed if I had to cut the cleanse short. Many thanks again!
August 17th, 2009 at 7:42 am
Hi Sherry, honestly I’ve not experienced heartburn before. But what I remembered is that you need to know what is causing your heartburn. I would think it’s the lemons. Many people have said it’s the lemon too.
How’s your bowel movements?
August 16th, 2009 at 10:46 pm
It’s day 4 for me and I’ve been progressively getting a lot of heartburn in my esophogus, just before my chest. It feels a little better when I have herbal tea, and it also feels better after I do the salt wash. I have never had heartburn before and I don’t want to quit. I’m thinking I should do a day without the lemon, maple syrup and cayenne, and just take in water. Any advice? Thanks!
August 16th, 2009 at 4:52 pm
Hi Flo, you can work out a little during the diet but not those tough exercises. walk is definitely not a big problem.
hmm.. maybe you would face a little trouble of not falling into temptation in the diet itself as you would need to cook dinner.
And all the best on the diet!
August 16th, 2009 at 12:35 pm
I’m sorry the message is for EMMA for support.
August 16th, 2009 at 12:29 pm
Hi Jennifer
Today will be my first today trying the diet. I’m gonna need a lot of support. I’ll explain I still have to cook dinner for my family and this my be harder than I thought I would like to lose about 20=+ lbs. Should I workout while on this diet?
Or should I just walk for 30min. twice a day in my sauna suit?
August 13th, 2009 at 9:20 am
Hi Jennifer, usually you can do 3-4 times in a year, around 3-4 months apart from each diet.
August 13th, 2009 at 6:46 am
How often can you do this diet.
August 10th, 2009 at 6:41 pm
Hi Elizabeth, For the cayenne pepper diet, we would say that it will help you to lose weight maybe around 20 pounds, however you are losing liquids instead of fats. Though it would be healthy for you to go on the cayenne pepper diet and cleanse your body.
If you want to lose weight, I personally would recommend you this fat loss diet program at http://bit.ly/fatlosscure
August 9th, 2009 at 11:46 pm
Hi,
I’ve always been unhappy with my weight. I recently changed my diet to lose weight and I’ve notice the number on the scale increase within 3 days. I was weighing 130 and now weigh 137. My doctor has told me i should be weighing around between 115 and 125. Will this really help me?
August 6th, 2009 at 7:15 pm
Abena: I’m the same as you! I love to eat a lot of stuff (I almost can’t control myself!). but during the cleanse, I told myself I must have the discipline to complete this diet to start a healthy life. And all I can say is it’s all up in the mind. It’s when I told myself that it is a must for me to stay healthy. I had the cleanse 4 times and everytime I did, it’s always a life changing experience for me.
August 6th, 2009 at 10:19 am
Hi my name is abena I am just starting to try it out now, the diet. I luv food I never used to, I have more of a sweet tooth. But since I started working at a restaurant I now eat more and more. What I want to know is how can I keep myself from eating and continue this for the full ten days. My foal is to start a healthier life, I want to be able to concentrate more on a career path and lose a few pounds I let myslf gain but I also want to establish an exercise routine and stick with it. Can u help anyone??
August 4th, 2009 at 9:22 am
How are you doing lulu? Have you started on the diet?
July 27th, 2009 at 9:03 am
Yup welcome to join us lulu!
July 25th, 2009 at 11:54 pm
hello nice people:) can I join you guys?
God bless!!!
July 23rd, 2009 at 9:57 am
Hi Tracy, we would normally advice people to embark on the cayenne pepper diet after 6 months of giving birth. It would be best if you could embark on the cleanse after 1 year.
You may want to consult your doctor first, if you feel you are healthy enough, then chances are you should be okay to embark on the cleanse. (disclaimer: I’m not a medical doctor, hence what I say may be wrong)
July 23rd, 2009 at 9:40 am
I want to go on the diet… But I am nursing my 6 month old son… Is it safe? Please let me know. I am ready to go buy everything I need and start tomorrow!
July 20th, 2009 at 4:31 am
pls, i need detail in the effect of cayenne pepper on sickle cell anaemia.
July 15th, 2009 at 9:58 am
John, great to hear that you drop by. And yes, getting a Master Cleanse Guide is definitely going to be very helpful in doing the cleanse successfully.
July 12th, 2009 at 7:08 am
Hi all, form the the above questions I would say a lot of you need to get the Master Cleanse book and read it, as it will tell you exactly what you need to do on the diet. Also if wieght loss is your goal, don’t use as much syrup. And for the person who is going to do the SWF after work, I wouldn’t avdvise that at all,the SWF should only be done in the mornign before even have a drink of water. Allow yourself at least an extra hour nad a half. I have never posted here in fact hust ran across this site, but I do have over 30 years with natural health, enrgy healing and fasting. Have a good one—Rev. John
July 10th, 2009 at 2:50 am
Hi S&F, Thanks for your nice comments. And hope you will have a great time doing the diet once again. Are you doing 4 times a year?
July 7th, 2009 at 11:57 pm
Hi everyone,
I’ve been away from this site for quite sometime and was amazed to see how many people have joined and are well on there way to the enlightment that is the CPD, I can’t eulogize this enough and have felt so strongly that I performed a serman at my local baptist church last week enstolling the virtues of how a cleansed body can bring you even closer to your faith.
I wish everyone on here every success and will be starting the diet again myself this coming Sunday.
Peace and Lover to you all and once again my thanks to you Admin and Emma

pennenn: Glad that the salt water flush helps! Hope you had a wonderful experience there.
Chemchoum: Thanks for your warm wishing to everyone doing the cleanse!
July 5th, 2009 at 7:51 am
Hi Everybody I am today at day 7 of my cleansing exercise and I must say that I feeling GREAT!! Everybody out there on the Master Cleanse, hang on there and keep you the good work
July 5th, 2009 at 7:38 am
Emma: Yes, the salt water flush worked amazingly well! I did that everyday for the rest of my cleanse after you suggested it. The first time it was difficult to take in all of the salt water, but after that I got used to it and it was much more pleasant!
I have finished the 10 day cleanse and am currently on Day 1 of the post-cleanse
Thanks for your help and advice!
July 5th, 2009 at 2:35 am
pennenn: How have you been doing so far into the cleanse? Is it better doing the salt water flush?
Pat: All the best! Do keep all the food away from your visibility so you won’t be tempted to eat.
July 3rd, 2009 at 6:21 pm
Hi guys, I’m starting the cleanse very soon. Would need your support as much as possible! I’ve bought all the ingredients and going to start the diet tomorrow. Any advice would be great!
July 1st, 2009 at 12:06 am
sunitha: maybe you can try Blackstrap Molassas. However many say maple syrup would be the best. Or you can order the maple syrup online. This diet is not for weight loss though.. it’s a cleanse actually to clear your body of toxins and the by product would be losing weight..
June 30th, 2009 at 3:05 am
Hi,
can anyone tel me the recipy for reducing weight, what can be a best substitute for maple syrup if its not available.
What ingrediants should i mix and what should be the ratio for acheving a good weight loss.
Thanks & regards,
Sunitha
June 29th, 2009 at 7:47 am
Emma: I have not tried the salt water flush. I will try it tonight after work if things haven’t started moving by then. Thanks for your advice
June 29th, 2009 at 7:13 am
pennenn: I think you can try the salt water flush since laxative tea may not be as strong. You don’t mind the taste of salt water flush right?
June 29th, 2009 at 6:04 am
Emma: I use the laxative tea. I have been letting it steep for a long time to make sure I’m getting all I can from it. Should I try the salt water flush instead? I can feel things working away in my gut but nothing is happening.
June 28th, 2009 at 11:06 pm
pennenn: Did you do the salt water flush or the laxative tea?
katie: I’m not too sure about oral saline laxative but I would think it’s okay.
June 28th, 2009 at 7:22 pm
I am at the end of Day 4 of the cleanse and I haven’t had a BM since the morning of Day 3. Could something be wrong? Please advise! Thanks
June 28th, 2009 at 7:09 pm
can an oral saline laxative like ones found at CVS be used instead of the SWF?
June 28th, 2009 at 6:22 pm
Hi Kathy,
The salt water flush can help you accelerate bowel movements in your body. So you will go to the toilet many times if you drink the salt water flush. Some may feel that salt water flush is too much for them, so they use the laxative tea instead.
You need to purchase the organic sea salt and mix 1 teaspoon or 1 tablespoon of sea salt with water in room temperature and drink it.
June 27th, 2009 at 6:52 am
hi
wat is the salt water flush?
and how do i make it?
June 26th, 2009 at 10:46 pm
Hi mary, you can only drink the lemonade mixture, water and the salt water flush. Yup, you are not allowed to eat anything, not even fruits. Normally, one would drink 6-10 servings in a day. And it’s okay if you overdrink it.
ice: you can get the detailed recipe over at our recipe section. In gist, one serving of lemonade contains 2 tablespoon of organic maple syrup and lemon juice each. 1/10 tablespoon of cayenne pepper and 10 oz of water.
June 26th, 2009 at 10:39 pm
hey
wat is the recipe for this diet?

June 26th, 2009 at 10:27 pm

pls give me some advice..
thank you:)
June 26th, 2009 at 10:09 pm
hey..
i’m quite interested in this diet but i’m quite confused..
wat’s the recipe for this drink?
n how much of each ingredient must i add?
pls help!!
June 25th, 2009 at 10:46 am
big mama
black strap molasses. is high in vitimins try substituing w/ that
June 25th, 2009 at 5:38 am
Vivian: you can’t take your daily vitamins but you can work some simple exercises.
Lois: Of course you can drink water =)
Bigmamma: your situation is a little tricky. Maple syrup is one of the most important ingredients in the maple syrup, I’m not sure whether you can do without the maple syrup. Either way, you still need to do the salt water flush or the laxative tea.
June 24th, 2009 at 6:33 pm
ok so im new to this diet and i was wandering a few things. I am allergic to maple syrup so can i just do cayenne pepper and lemon juice. and if im not using maple syrup or hone(cant have either) do i still need to do the salt wate rflush?
June 24th, 2009 at 12:05 pm
cherly,
drink 4 to 6 glasses a day or drink some everytime you feel hungry.good luck
June 24th, 2009 at 11:09 am
this is day 2 for me. just wondering if I could drink water after a workout?
June 24th, 2009 at 8:59 am
i see! thankyou very much!
is there a detailed where to follow the diet and can i drink it whenever i feel thirsty? or is it a one time thing everyday?
thankyou v. much!!
June 24th, 2009 at 5:40 am
hi crystal, 40 days may be a little too long. i would say that 10 days is more than sufficient. If u really want to go for a 40 day diet, you should consult a professional doctor, because we don’t know your body conditions.
cheryl: i think you should have no problem looking for organic maple syrup and red pepper. if you need to know where, i have singapore friends who had done this cleanse before. about school, i don’t know whether would this affect your studies, but it doesn’t seem easy with all your peers around you.
June 24th, 2009 at 1:18 am
hey there! ive read so much about this diet and am really interested in trying it out!
however, im staying in singapore, so im not very sure if the ingredients are available here.
and, im still schooling, so is it advisable for me to try it because im afraid it may cause me to visit the toilet a little too often.
THANKYOU!!
June 23rd, 2009 at 4:58 pm
im on day 13 now hoping to another 27. today around evening was tough cause i started to get some really killer cravings. but some how i pressed through.thank God.
June 23rd, 2009 at 4:56 pm
sera
it has to be 100% pure maple syrup that you use. if you cant get the syrup in your country i would recommend buying some off the internet. thats the only way it will work
June 23rd, 2009 at 11:31 am
I was contemplating starting this diet and I was wondering if I while on this diet I can take my daily vitamins and if I can still work out. Some one please help me
) Thanks
June 23rd, 2009 at 8:05 am
i have been on this diet for 2 days but on the first day i did not have to go to the restroon till about 5 in the afternoon is that ok ?
June 23rd, 2009 at 6:44 am
Hi crytal, i want to go on this diet but we dont v maple syrup in my country only pancake maple syrup 5% can i use that. or can i only use cayenne and lemon.
June 22nd, 2009 at 7:24 pm
lois
you can only drink the tea, water and the smooth move sienna tea laxative. you can drink mint tea for your breathe but thats it
June 22nd, 2009 at 7:22 pm
i was doing good on day 12. or so i hoped. from the time i woke up i felt very light headed. i went down stairs and i felt like the wind had been knocked out of me. i thought it was because i had just woke up but i noticed as i kept on throughout the day i only felt worse like i was going to faint. i have fainted before so i know the feeling so i knew my body was telling me it needed food. so i had some orange juice and a salad but i still want to restart the fast to more and continue for another 28 days. does anyone know if this is okay
June 22nd, 2009 at 10:50 am
i am gonna start the diet tomorrow, just want to know if anything else can be eaten (veggies, greens?) while drinking the water.
June 22nd, 2009 at 10:24 am
crystal! I’ve restarted and this is my day 2! o man.. I really admire you. You can still at your top form even you are at your 11th day!
Raquel – I think as long as you buy organic, it should be of no problem, whether be it grade A or B. And I cheated on my day 3 before.. All the best Raquel!
June 21st, 2009 at 10:07 pm
THANKS so much CRYSTAL!!:)
and congrats on 11 days
June 21st, 2009 at 7:25 pm
raquel
you can only drink the tea water and the laxative tea. also a health foods store will have grade b. if theres not one by u can use grade a. thats what im using it just doesn’t have as much nutrients as grade b.
tinkle
just get back on the wagon. i slipped up on my 2nd day and i felt like crap, thats when i knew i was serious about this now im on day 11. im hoping to go for 40.
June 21st, 2009 at 3:49 pm
is there anything light i can eat? and if i was to cheat how soon can i start it again?
June 21st, 2009 at 3:38 pm
HELP!!…
ok i have gone to about 5 stores to buy Grade b Maple syrup and i cant find it… can i sub it for Grade a ?
June 20th, 2009 at 2:58 pm
well this is so hard. its my first day and the pepper is killing my throat..i need to loose 15 lbs! its nice to know i have others just as motivated, struggling with me!
June 20th, 2009 at 10:33 am
Today is my day 3, and boy I am struggling, I am chewing on sugarless gum from time to time during the day. I have lost 4lbs so far in 3 days, so its a motivating me to stick to it. I make sure my husband cooks for the kids and when he is cooking I go relax in the backyard. As long am not smelling food I am ok.
June 19th, 2009 at 9:48 am
Today is my day 3! and sad to say i’ve just cheated on the cayenne pepper diet by eating barbecue chicken wings. =( My neighbour was celebrating and they came over to give me some. Geez… and there gone my 3 days of hardwork.
Should I start over again?
Crystal: you must have finished the cleanse today. Congrats!
June 18th, 2009 at 5:59 pm
Hello I am starting the cleansing today, Ive always liked the taste of the pepper so its not so bad, I am huge on sweets specially at night and I have been struggling. So far so good, I’ve managed to get by the day.
June 18th, 2009 at 8:05 am
im on day 8 now and i feel wonderful. i wanna go beyond the 10 days. i want to go until my body says give me food
June 18th, 2009 at 7:06 am
@Holistic Joe: Well said dude. What is more incredible is that every single one of those thousands of new chemicals produced annually can be shifted by lemonade and cayenne pepper. Makes you wonder why they didn’t just spray it on chernobyl.
June 17th, 2009 at 8:31 am
hi guys! I’m starting the diet today! Been procrastinating for very long and I can’t wait any longer. How are you doing crystal?
June 14th, 2009 at 7:55 pm
im breathing through my mouth when i make their meals its sad but im determined once in for all to lose weight.good luck on the transition
June 14th, 2009 at 6:23 pm
crystal: How’s your cleanse so far? I’m just out of the cleanse recently and now getting back to my normal healthy meals.
Do you manage to get over the fact not to eat even you prepare the food for your children. Yup it could really be a big challenge for you.
June 12th, 2009 at 10:07 am
so im halfway done with day two. ive done the cleanse before and only survived 5 days. one thing that made the cleanse hard for me is i have to prepare food for my kids and the meer smell of it gets to me and i could press on no longer. this time i wanna get through it. i’ve heard it takes 14 days to make or break a habit. well my goal is to get through these first 14 days because if i can make it through 14 days i’m convinced going on any longer won’t be as challenging. i’ve been breathing out of my mouth when preparing my childrens food to combat the food cravings. it worked, we’ll see about tommorow.
June 12th, 2009 at 8:34 am
I thought cayenne pepper is very tasty when used in food! I love the spice of the pepper. Have just completed the cleanse today.. Following the easing out phase.
June 11th, 2009 at 9:54 am
Dude,
No thank you. If I tried to live on “hot” peppered lemonade for 10 days, I’d be one grumpy camper.
June 11th, 2009 at 9:34 am
Thanks for your tip, Joe.
Today, we have completed the cayenne pepper diet! what are your thoughts and feelings about the diet?
Do take note guys to start your post cleanse – easing out phase. Do not get back to your normal meals right away as your stomach and metabolism would not be able to take it. You would need to warm up your body again.
June 10th, 2009 at 11:00 pm
The MASTER CLEANSE DIET is a phenomenal regimen. I have been on it several times and have recommended it to various clients over the years and will CONTINUE to recommend it. However, the results have been mixed and in some instances, the “cleansing episodes” endured by some of my clients have been medium to quite severe. Nonetheless, I don’t think it is the fault of the regimen. Let me explain.
Today, we live in a world that is quite toxic and radioactive. Everything, from the food we eat, the air we breathe, the water we drink, the personal hygiene products (including toilet tissue, toothpaste, tampons, etc.), the household cleaning supplies, the gardening products, and even the Teflon we cook our food on, are more polluted with toxins (many proven to be carcinogenic) now than at any other time in human history. Let’s also remember that we are heavily exposed to more man-made radiation and electro-magnetic frequencies than ever before. This includes your power lines, microwave ovens, cellular communications, and even the many atomic and nuclear explosions detonated RIGHT HERE on U.S. soil by our own government (ever wonder where all that radiation went to?). Back in 1941, when Stanley Burroughs created the Cleanse, he could not have conceived of the monstrous levels of toxic pollution we now have. The “A-Bomb” wasn’t even official until 4 years later, in 1945. I think this is why many people experience some very debilitating cleansing episodes.
Our generation has and continues to be exposed to tens of thousands of man-made chemicals, with approximately a thousand new chemicals being created annually. These substances stubbornly bury themselves in our blood, organs, bones, etc. Because of that, detoxing our bodies safely and more comfortably may involve “tweaking” Mr. Burrough’s program in a way he could not have contemplated.
Just a tip from your friendly neighborhood HOLISTIC JOE!
June 10th, 2009 at 2:38 pm
Day 2 so far so good!!!
June 10th, 2009 at 7:06 am
Last day of the cleanse! Yippee! I feel so refreshed today! I have lost a total of more than 15 pounds! How are you guys doing there?
Patty, you can substitute with cayenne pepper pills. No worries about the cayenne pepper powder.
Welcome DD to join in the cleanse!
June 10th, 2009 at 12:24 am
Can someone please help me? I’m starting on the diet but I really can’t stand the cayenne pepper in the lemonade mixture. What can I do? Is there any thing I can substitute with the cayenne pepper?
Thx!
June 9th, 2009 at 8:53 am
It’s great to hear you all doing the cayenne pepper diet! Hope it’s not too late for me to join you guys today. It’s my first time doing the cleanse..
So it’s day 10 for you guys today?
David
June 9th, 2009 at 12:22 am
Day 9! Here we are on the Day 9 of the cleanse! 2 more days to go and we’ll complete the cleanse. So hang in there! I’m going out for a little exercises as I haven been doing that for quite some time.
Planning to do some recreational ones like rollerblading!
June 8th, 2009 at 9:35 am
Day 8 of Cayenne Pepper Diet! Congratulations to those who have come so far. 2 more days before we will finish the diet!
Day 8 is one of the hardest days of all. So do stay determined to complete the cleanse or you will be wasting your effort for the past 8 days!
Ms Ash: It’s very common to experience those problems so no worries, unless it gets real serious..
And vickie: Welcome to join us!
Joy: hope you can reach your desire weight!
June 7th, 2009 at 7:39 pm
Ms Ash: I’ve got white muscus too when I was at my 4th and 5th day. I would think that it is the body detoxifying the toxins in our body. The body is trying to purge all of it out of the body. How was your diet previously?
Yes you can do some light exercise and workout as long as you don’t over exert yourself.
Kate: Yes, no food for 10 days. Don’t worry, many people have completed the diet with only the lemonade.
Joy: Congratulations in joining us! Hope you will lose some weight there. (although the main aim for this diet is to cleanse your body)
June 7th, 2009 at 7:17 pm
Hi CPD.orgers
Great site! Starting detox regime from tomorrow June 8th 2009 4 AM. . Currently I am 130 lbs, want 107. Will be posting my daily count of {negative of course!] lbs.

June 7th, 2009 at 9:05 am
yea im kinda feelin it a bit over here to. feels like my body is lettin me know that i wouldn’t be able to get solid foods down, even if i tried. what stages does our bodies go through in the next2 days? can someone whose completed this diet before please feel me in? Is it okay for me to do light exercise like walking, and some light weight workouts?
June 7th, 2009 at 6:28 am
All the best vickie! Yup, you can use the cayenne pepper pills if you feel that you can’t take the taste.
And it’s day 7 for me! A little terrible for me here when I woke up. Guess it’s like what they say – Day 7 and Day 8 a little harder…
June 6th, 2009 at 7:54 pm
On Sunday and Monday I’ll have one apple a day,and from Tuesday I’ll start cayenne pepper diet for 5 days, hope it will work.Wish me luck you guys!!!Ohhh and instead of cayenne pepper powder I’ll take cayenne pepper pills.
June 6th, 2009 at 12:02 pm
I started late so it’s day 3 for me! Woohoo, lets go!
June 6th, 2009 at 11:12 am
day 6! wow. glad we are this far guys! 4 more days to go. I figured these next cpl days would be the tough ones, what are so common effects we might see? I read somewhere that days 7 or so u start seeing your skin really reacting, some ppl even get boils? I have always had relatively healthy skin, will that happen to me? I can’t lie, I’m kinda nervous bout these next two days(they’re my days off! so much temptation) haha ima need yal strength
June 6th, 2009 at 8:55 am

Today should be quite an easy day.. Day 7 & 8 should be the bad days!
June 5th, 2009 at 11:22 pm
I’m back! and my flu and fever is gone.. Now I feel totally refreshed, full of energy, and ready to go all the way through the 10 days!
Ms. Ash: Seems like you have benefitted a lot from this June cleanse! Let’s go all the way through the 10 days!
June 5th, 2009 at 5:51 pm
thanks babe u rock
June 5th, 2009 at 10:17 am
Ms Ash: Wow, your back pain is gone! That’s great!
Naya: You would need to drink daily for 10 days. Around 6-10 servings a day! And you can’t eat anything except water and the lemonade mixture.
After the 10 days, you need to slowly get back to your normal diet by starting with soups & fruit juices!
Today is Day 5! Hang in there! 5 more days to go!
June 5th, 2009 at 7:46 am
Thanks Ms. Ash,
Day 2 and I feel hungry and I’m not looking forward to it to be honest.
June 5th, 2009 at 5:23 am
well day 4 for me how much of the drink am i supposed to drink daily? i drink a 1 litter bottle a day is that enough? and wht do i do after the ten days i know im not going back to burgers and fries so a little help would do me some good thanks.Naya
June 4th, 2009 at 9:03 pm
join in cam! The more the better
June 4th, 2009 at 1:13 pm
Hey guys. Noticed you all are on day 4. I just got the ingredients today. Can I join in? I’ve never done this but I’m really excited to try it out!
June 4th, 2009 at 10:52 am
thanks admin. well its day 4 and my back pain is seriously gone! Even the constant irritation thats always kinda been in the background is practically 1gone! woo hoo this is great! I’m def going to try to stay with it to day 10
June 4th, 2009 at 10:09 am
My 4th day. I’m down with a slight flu and fever.. I guess I might have caught a cold yesterday when it started raining in the middle of the night.
But I will still persist on, and take extra precaution though. I realize drinking warm water can also help in the movements too. Maybe you guys want to try drinking lots of warm water. I heard massaging your colon area would also help in the movements.
June 4th, 2009 at 7:03 am
Welcome to Day 4 of the diet!
Ms. Ash: Glad you feel great even at your day 3. For the back problem, I don’t think anyone can give you much of a credible advice. But do you overt exert your lower back?
June 3rd, 2009 at 10:46 pm
Day 3!!! I feel great.. not starving like I thought I would be.
I feel great…had like 6 tortilla chips at work today( I work in a restaurant kitchen!) felt really bad but I’m going to keep going. i just don’t see how it can ruin me if I do the diet for ten days.I picked up a pilates book today, gonna try some of those exercises since they are low-intensity, & hopefully won’t take too much of my energy. 6 more days to go!
also I have a lot of lower back pain today & a bit yesterday. I have back problems so I’m used to feeling aggravation but it seems more intense now is this normal?
June 3rd, 2009 at 5:20 pm
Imarie: The salt water flush had always given me trouble too. I always vomit with the salt water flush. For the detox tea, I read this book about Cayenne pepper diet at http://bit.ly/xjfzU, it says that you can use Senna tea too.
I would think that you just got to find the detox tea that is not caffeinated and it should be fine.
June 3rd, 2009 at 12:20 pm
Thank you Emma…I’m on day 3. Day 2 went by quickly and I was not hungry and did not have any fruit. All is great! I am starting to have more energy and feel positive. I am so excited to continue this process. I am going to go 12 days since I had fruit for dinner on Day 1…
My biggest problem is that I can not handle the salt water flush. I vommit every time. I have been to two seperate places to find the teas…Is “Detox Tea” ok? I do not see “laxative Tea” “Smoothe Move” etc. I have been consuming the Phsylium husk powder and water. That is aweful!!! It just makes my stomach expand and I feel so bloated with it…What type of tea do you use? I just can not take the salt water…Thank you.
June 3rd, 2009 at 10:09 am
Today is day 7 and this is my fourth time doing the cleanse and i fill great! vicky have you tried the capsules?
June 3rd, 2009 at 9:25 am
Shar: Glad that you can join us this time round for the 2nd time!
June 3rd, 2009 at 9:21 am
Leilah: You have asked a very good question! does it mess up your metabolism rate?
Your metabolism rate would slow down and that is the reason why you may want to take extra precaution when you are coming out of the cleanse. You don’t want to go back to your normal diet straight away but change your diet slowly to speed up your metabolism.
The recipe on this website is correct! 2 tbsp lemon juice, 2 tbsp maple syrup, 1/10 tbsp of cayenne pepper, 10 oz of distilled water.
It’s the 3rd day for today. I guess admin is busy on the master cleanse.
I went to the toilet 5 times today!
naya: I admire your spirit and your discipline to start over again.
vickie: You can use cayenne pepper capsules instead of powder so you don’t need to stand the spice.
June 3rd, 2009 at 12:05 am
argh, guys glad to know that everyone is doing well in the diet. I’m not gonna join you guys this time. what a shame cause it would be really good to have all the support one can get. But I have to go to college for this week and two exams coming up just so much trouble bringing two 2L of lemonnade with me to class. And the color of the drink does look werid.
Nevertheless I am still drinking it, while still consuming food as usual. Hope I can still get all the health benefits of the drink.
Now a few questions after did a bit reading on the web:
1. was abit worried that this diet will mess up the metabolism since no food intake for 10 days the body will go into hibernation mode to perserve energy. and if do it wrongly might not revive metablism to normal level after the diet?
2. a bit unsure about the really correct way to do it as it seems every website has slightly different versions. so would be very very grateful if someone can let me know the right recipe!! (I prepare the drink based on my own rough judgement atm).
Thank you guys. Though not joining you this time will still read your stories to learn experience and support you guys at the same time!!
Best of luck!
June 2nd, 2009 at 9:45 pm
hey to all tried the diet on the first and cheated so i started again today im so glad that i dont have to do the salt water flush and the tea at the same time im having trouble cause im seeing all these comercils about food give me strenght.
June 2nd, 2009 at 12:05 pm
The thing is I cant eat spicy food or in this case drink, because I get sore throat,so what if I dont put cayenne pepper powder into my drink, will it work?
June 2nd, 2009 at 10:17 am
Today is my 1st day, but second time this year. I am so proud of myself for being able to last for 10 days. It wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be. I may go for 12 – 13 days this time. I felt like a new person, and I looked good. My spirt was cleansed. I’m looking forward to day 10. Good luck to you all.
June 2nd, 2009 at 7:43 am
lmarie: well, i think it sorts of like “ruin” the diet when you consume the apple, banana and orange. Maybe you want to have the laxative tea or salt water flush to help your movements. But don’t worry, even if your first day is a little incorrect, you can still continue.
This is the 2nd day for me too. Was in the library to distract myself with all the books… Today was a little terrible especially when the hunger starts kicking in..
I believe we can eventually succeed in this diet!
June 2nd, 2009 at 7:02 am
Hello, I am on day 2. I started this venture without all the proper ingredients. I am hoping on day 2 my body will react better. Day 1: I did not start with one of the three options for a laxative. I started right to the lemonade. I had the wrong type of organic Maple syrup (Grade A) and did not use organic cayenne pepper. By 6pm I was feeling fatigue and had an apple, a banana and an orange. Did I ruin the diet? I did purchase the Psyllium Husk powder and had my first beverage last night. This morning I had my second glass of Psyllium Husk powder beverage and two lemonade beverages. I am so full and my stomach has expanded! No movement. Am I not drinking enough water? Today I am using Grade B organic Maple syrup and organic cayenne pepper. I am looking forward to this process and hoping to cleanse my body!!!! Thank you for all the support.
June 2nd, 2009 at 4:49 am
The reading I have done says that you really have to do the cleanse for at least 10 days to get the full detox. Five days is not long enough and don’t worry… if you drink enough lemonade, you won’t lose more weight than you need to.
You also need to take the cayenne to loosen the mucus. I heard NOT to take the capsules as they are made with gelatin and are difficult to digest when on the cleanse.
I’m doing my first cleanse and am on day 11. I am finding that 10 days was not long enough as my tongue still has a white coating (a sign of detoxification). Day 7 was hard, but overall, everything has gone well. I have even gone to a party and a couple trips to restaurants with friends. I tell folks I am there for the company. I know if I were to eat at this point, I would feel very ill. I think the easing back into food will be harder than the cleanse itself.
June 1st, 2009 at 11:16 pm
thank u Ms.Ash
June 1st, 2009 at 11:11 pm
vickie if you don’t want to put the cayenne pepper into your drink, then you should take the cayenne pepper pills. you can get them at any health or organic store. all the information that i read suggests that taking the cayenne pepper in powder form is more effective though.
June 1st, 2009 at 9:18 pm
what if I only drank distilled water with maple syrup and lemon juice without cayenne pepper?
June 1st, 2009 at 7:11 pm
Day 2 of the cleanse!
Have you done your salt water flush or laxative tea detox?
Had a laxative tea last night before I went to bed and I got to woke up 1 hour later to the toilet. It was terrible at the start… but after that it was alright.
Oh well, my cousins bought some delicious foods to my house and geeez, I avoid the temptations by locking myself in the bedroom! so much for the delicious food!
Cheers to Ms. Ash, Joey, & Emma!
June 1st, 2009 at 7:05 pm
vickie: most people can lose around 15-20 pounds while going on this diet. However, we would advice you not to do this cleanse for the sake of losing weight but for a healthier body.
June 1st, 2009 at 6:21 pm
how much weight can you loose in 10 days?
June 1st, 2009 at 12:56 pm
hey so today is the official start of the diet!!!
I’m pretty pumped to get on this. I am so confident in myself to go thru with this!!! I am only going to do it for 5 days i think, depending on the amount of weight lost, i don’t want to lose more than 10 pounds. drinking my lenonade right now! Cheers!!
Ms. Ash
June 1st, 2009 at 7:53 am
Joining you guys for the cayenne pepper diet! Had bought all the ingredients but I don’t have enough lemons for the whole of 10 days. I shall top up the lemons after 5 days.
All the best if you are doing the cleanse too!
I’ve started to prepare the lemonade and this is my first time mixing the lemonade. Hope I didn’t do it wrongly though…
I’ve keep all the food away to remove all the temptations. Shall not talk about food for the whole 10 days…
June 1st, 2009 at 4:05 am
I shall be the first one posting my experience. Woke up early to prepare the lemonade. Had prepared the whole lemonade for 8 hours so I don’t need to make it every time I want to drink the lemonade.
I also had the herbal laxative tea so it can accelerate my cleansing process. oh man, I can say it was crapped, although it’s only the first day. I thought my body was clean after doing 3 times of cayenne pepper diet but it seems that I’m wrong..
I had also prepare a weighing machine so I can track how much weight I’ve lost (not the main purpose but just curious to know).
I haven’t feel hungry yet and everything else seems good so far.
June 1st, 2009 at 2:20 am
Hi everyone! today we are having the mass cayenne pepper diet day. Have you guys get all the ingredients ready? If not this is the final chance for you to get.
Everyday we shall post our experience on this website to support each other for the whole of 10 days. If you need any help, you can always come and ask for help.
All the best everyone! And hope we complete the cleanse for the whole of 10 days!
May 30th, 2009 at 9:01 am
Wow! gayle, if i didn’t hear wrongly, you have been drinking the lemonade for the whole time after your meal? Incredible! This is the first time I heard someone does this. Glad that there’s this website that we can share our experience and stories with!
May 30th, 2009 at 8:52 am
I have been drinking a cup of warm lemon water with cayenne pepper after every meal for a year and have lost a lot of weight. I also take a 750 – 1000 milgrams of magnesium as well. I do not starve myself. I used to be a veggie and I use to belly dance and did not get the results as I have been getting by drinking warm lemonade with cayenne pepper and I don’t do any strenulous exercise other than my usual walking, resistance training, and low impact aerobics. I do believe that the warm lemon cayenne pepper tea helps me have more frequent eliminations and also boost my metabolism. Whatever the case, I absolutely love the results and I still get to eat. Smile!!!
May 30th, 2009 at 7:52 am
Leilah: Yes laxative tea is necessary as it will speed up the detoxifying process, and help your body eliminate waste. Probably you want to buy the laxative teas “smooth move” or “laxative tea”.
cause I only managed to find oganic, no.1 medium syrup.
Yes it is ok for you to drink the tea and water.
And regarding the maple syrup, I think the organic maple syrup would be the right one. Hope you bought the right one!
Have you guys finished preparing the ingredients? it’s only 2 days before we start on the cayenne pepper diet! Can’t wait to start!
May 29th, 2009 at 10:36 pm
oh, I was wondering about the maple syrup too. cause I only managed to find oganic, no.1 medium syrup. The shop sells no.2 medium also but not organic. The difference is that no.2 is thicker and darker than no.1 hence think more concentrated. now, I have no idea what grade B means. Hope I have bought the right one! Any comment guys?
May 29th, 2009 at 10:30 pm
Emma – Thank you for answering my question. Sorry of course you are right the purpose is detox. argh, i got a bit carried away thinking the fat losing effect when everyone was talking about how much weight they lost. I dont actually mind getting the weight back just hope the whole process doest slow my metablism too much that after resuming the routine, I’ll become heavier than even before!
Today shall be the first day of detox prep. Lets see how I get on with it. Was wondering:
1. during the cleanse, of course no food is allowed but what about liquid. Its still ok to drink tea (black or herbal) and water right?
2. is laxative tea a necessary part of the diet?? cause the one I have I reckon is strong too. is there anything lighter? or its not necessary to have it if don’t feel too bloated?
its really nice to have a place to ask questions and share feelings at! Thank you!
May 29th, 2009 at 10:05 am
Leilah: Welcome you to join our support group when we start off the diet together on the 1st of June! To answer your question, first of all, doing the cayenne pepper diet is not about losing weight but cleansing your body. By cleansing and detoxifying your body, losing weight is like a by product and you lose weight naturally.
Whether you will gain back your weight after that would much depend on your diet after that. It would be best if you follow a healthy diet to keep the weight off too.
Ms. Ash: Do you mean the laxative tea? You would only need to do either one and not both salt water flush and laxative tea. Most of the people can’t really take the salt water flush because it’s too strong.
And welcome you to join us for the mass cayenne pepper diet.
Thanks admin for opening up the avatar.
May 29th, 2009 at 6:57 am
Hi, everyone
I just stumbled across this, and attempt to try it. However this is a HUGE effort clearly, and I do read that people have gone on this diet repeatedly, this makes me question how long can you really keep off the weight? Do you find yourself putting the weight bk on very quickly once the diet is finished? If that’s the case, this diet may not be as miraculous as it appears.
Please reply as I am attempt to try it with all you guys in 2 days.
thank you!
May 28th, 2009 at 6:16 pm
thanks!! i am very excited. i had to stop bc i had bought bottled lemon juice, and i was worried about the effects it would have. so today i went and got all the ingredients that i need, i think i am going to start on Monday with the group. I can use all the support i can get. also i have a question about the salt water flush…should i do it if i am drinking the herbal tea?
May 28th, 2009 at 5:43 pm
Ms. Ash: Welcome in joining us! I can see your avatar now. How’s your first day in the cayenne pepper diet?
May 28th, 2009 at 5:07 am
Ms. Ash: All the best for starting the cayenne pepper diet! Good luck! It’s best that you stay with the current amount for the cayenne pepper even if it’s a little too strong for you!
May 28th, 2009 at 1:18 am
Good luck to those who are doing the cayenne pepper diet. We are having an official mass cayenne pepper diet fasting on the first of June, if you guys are interested to do the fast together and support each other on the way.
I have edited this comment section so you no longer have trouble posting the comment and helping one another out for the cleanse. I’ve also included personal avatars for those who want to register with our blog. You can register at http://cayennepepperdiet.org/wp-login.php?action=register and upload an avatar for yourself!
May 27th, 2009 at 9:46 am
i am officially starting my first day on the diet. wish me luck!! also, can i reduce the amount of cayenne i put in the lemonade? the kick is kinda strong
May 27th, 2009 at 9:04 am
CaliGirl: You can do it! clear away all the food that is visible by ur side. and plan things to do everyday so you won’t think about food. think abt the benefits you would derive from the cleanse.
We are here for you!
May 27th, 2009 at 8:57 am
On my goodness. Yesterday was definitely unbelievable. I’m not one who thinks about food all the time, but because of my decision to fast all I could think about yesterday was FOOD. I spent so much time praying. Well, I made it but after taking that salt flush just a few minutes ago, I’m really starting to wonder how I’m going to do this everyday. 10 days seems so long. I really need some encouragement right now.
May 27th, 2009 at 5:21 am
CaliGirl: Thanks for your compliment and I hope I had contributed to help everybody on the cayenne pepper diet. I’m sure you can complete the 10 day diet with success because you are doing for spiritual reasons instead of other reasons like losing weight.
Don’t worry, we will be here for you! Count us to be your support!
May 27th, 2009 at 1:38 am
Hello, I’m back! It’s been a while but I’m so please to see that this site really has become supper popular.
BabyFat: I hope you are still reading this site and the diet is going well, i’m not currently doing it but have found that i’ve yoyo’d a little but thats probablt due to my love of vitamin M
CaliG: You are so rite God is the only way to achieve this as the temptations are truly huge. I will prey for you
Alice: It’s fine to only do 10 days esp. if its your first attempt. Glad to have you aboard the good ship cayenne.
Well Peace, Love and Life

Hi CaliGirl,
I am wishing you luck from God! I am close to finishing off now and am thinking of you deeply. I’m sure you are to be appearing fabulous in a few days. I believe it is best to be to try and swallow the salt flush twice of the day for your skin and your inner cleanse.

May 26th, 2009 at 8:32 pm
i too just made my first batch of lemonade. my question is since its 830 at night can i start drinking it now or do i need to start on an empty stomach?
May 26th, 2009 at 2:50 pm
Well everyone,
I just made my first batch of the drink and am officially starting my first day today. I’ve had several friends who have done this diet with success but I’ve never thought I had the discipline to do it. But, I’m being let spiritually to do a fast for my body. I know God is going to have to hold my hand through this journey, but it’s also great to know that this site provides me with others to support me on my new journey. I’ve read several of the threads and they all seem to be so encouraging. Emma, you seem like a true pillar to lean on. So, here I go guys. My God truly hold my hand over the next 10days.
CaliGirl
May 26th, 2009 at 11:11 am
day 8, for me, i have lost about 8 lbs, Im probably gonna keep going past the 10 days…
Does anyone know if it’s ok to stop after the 10 days, then take a break from the diet and eat normally and then do another 10 days on the cleanse?
May 24th, 2009 at 6:01 pm
trynagetslim: I think you should stop for a while, getting back to your normal diet before starting the cayenne pepper diet again (my own opinion). You can actually do the herbal laxative tea itself without doing the salt flush (the salt flush is too powerful for most people).
Honestly, this diet is officially approved nor endorsed by doctor. However, this diet has been used by thousands of people (not sure of the figure but I would guess around 100,000) and most of them have raving comments about it.
You don’t have to worry to much about not eating food for several days. The reason why you are doing so is because you are letting your body to rest for a few days so it can cleanse itself. In fact there are many other fast like water and fruit fast which you don’t eat anything besides that.
May 24th, 2009 at 5:42 pm
wow, well in all honesty I didn’t really follow any other instruction outside of this website in this and other pages about it. I figured the ingredients and instructions were simple enough to follow and I mistakenly misunderstood from other folks that the lemonade did its own thing when it came to passing and eliminating the bad stuff (which might i add has been the case for me as my stools are somewhat more frequent than before). I hhave issues with my tummy already so thats why I passed on the things that send you to the restroom. I didn’t know that the lax tea was the main staple as it is called the “cayenne pepper” diet. But you know what, I’m starting to get somewhat cynical about it as it calls for so much to come out of you with very little going in. I mean yh I kno its stripping your body of all the negative stuff but I feel like you’re losing important stuff too, and so fast. Like isn’t it sort of a shock to your bod to stop suddenly eating like you’ve used to (healthy or otherwise) and start taking in little and next to no nutrition, all the while sending you to the bathroom. Its suppose to cleanse you I know but couldn’t it be done in another way. like i ate nothing but organics foods, fruits and veggies while still steadily drinking the mixture and flushing? Is the diet doctor approved and endorsed medically? Are there disclaimers and warnings. and if i did go to my doc, generally would he give it a thumbs up or a thumbs down?
ps.Emma, should I start over with the diet avec the flush and tea? Or just incorporate them from now on. Also, can’t I do just one of them from now on as I’ve got the tummy issue?
pps: sorry for the rant, just trying to cover all the bases. Guess I really should do my homework!
May 24th, 2009 at 2:52 pm
hello everyone,
i’m supposed to start this diet in two days and was wondering if anyone had any pointers?
also, i go to school, so i won’t have a toilet always availible.. should i not be doing this ?
i’m excited because i definately need to lose weight, and a lot of it.. FAST .
thanks everyone
May 23rd, 2009 at 5:51 pm
trynagetslim: you need to do the laxative detox tea because otherwise, the toxins in your body won’t get flushed out. The lemonade mixture is not meant to remove all the waste in the colon.. the tea is the main component.
Did you get any instructions from any book or guide? It seems like you didn’t really know the cayenne pepper directions. You might seriously want to consider get the guides.
May 23rd, 2009 at 12:42 pm
Hi Guys can anyone please advise on the amount for each ingredient?? Also, can I work out during the period I will be on this diet??
Thanks
May 23rd, 2009 at 12:39 pm
Hi Guys can anyone please advise on the amount for each ingredient?? also If I want to lose 10 – 12 pounds how long shall I be on this diet for? One last question, can I work out during the period I will be on this diet??
Thanks
May 23rd, 2009 at 11:40 am
ok, question: do you absolutely need to take the other tea and flush, or will you also notice results with the lemonade? Haven’t done the flush or tea and as of day three of my diet (just taking in the cayenne mixture w/lots of water) i see and feel no results. Instead, I’m extremely tired, and sometimes dizzy. I consider this like a crash diet and am seriously considering quitting.
ps. (i take in close to nearly a gallon of the mixture a day, in a ddition to water)
May 23rd, 2009 at 2:39 am
francheska: No, cayenne pepper is not the same as chili pepper. Cayenne powder is powdered cayenne whereas chili powder contains a mixture of cayenne and other spices and herbs to make chili pepper.
May 23rd, 2009 at 12:49 am
is cayenne pepper similar to chili pepper
May 22nd, 2009 at 6:11 pm
Apro: You need to drink the lemonade mixture because it helps to cleanse your body. It is a detoxifying diet and once you have cleansed your body, you will lose weight because it is the by product of detoxifying your body.
Alice: Yes you are right, the maple syrup provides a source of energy to the body.
trynagetslim: I’ve heard that there are people who cure their cancer! So there are many more health benefits from the cayenne pepper diet!
May 22nd, 2009 at 1:14 pm
Apro, you NEED to drink at LEAST 6 servings a day!!! this is detrimental to your health, as the maple syrup is your only source of energy… without energy how do you expect your body to be able to burn fat? with magic?!
May 21st, 2009 at 1:44 pm
trynagetslim, i hate the taste of it as well. I feel more sick today then i ever have in my life. I fell twice and when i got back up my vision went white and i couldnt see for a few seconds… its very hard. im not giving up though. I have noticed only the bad effects not the good.. my tongue is white and i have a certain odor.. as far as good complexion or nails, nothing for me.

so can we officailly call ourselves a makeshift support group? Cuz I’m gonna need all the support i can get. Firstly, I just tried all the ingredients together and it tastes like crap! Secondly, that crap is the only thing u’re allowed to take in. Does anyone else have a problem consuming the mixture? Someone could have warned me. Seriously I’m gonna check in every day and expect pats on the back and encouragement. Please keep reminding me that the reward lies in the weight loss. Also, does anyone notice any improvement in anything else eg. skin, (complexion), nails, etc?

day four of my diet, and i must say, I woke up this morning and felt like my legs weighed 20 pounds each. I am 5’1 120 pounds, looking to get to about 109 and ive lost 7 pounds so far. I hate the taste of the drink, also I hate the taste of the herbal lax tea. I do exercise, every day little activity plus the ab circle. I must admit, I drink maybe, 2 cups of the drink a day, followed by lots of water. Im never hungry… I dont know what to do and the very thought of drinking my lemonade drink makes my body cringe with nausea. Will I still lose weight if i’m not drinking so much of it? I want to lose at least 11 more pounds. Any suggestions on how to help me? ill take any advice.. I just want to be skinny
May 20th, 2009 at 1:36 pm
Good Day All,
I am about to start this diet on the weekend I have heard such great reviews about this diet that I can’t wait to get started. I am a bit concerned about the gravings but my desire to lose the weight is greater. Please keep me in your prayers everyone your words of encouragement would be much appreciated. I have a goal weight lost of 80 pounds. I have read that doing the salt water flush in the morning and the laxative tea before bed is a much better way of doing the diet. I will try the salt water in the mornings the the cayenne tea throughout the day and the laxative tea in the evenings i will let you know how i goes for me. I will try to continue to visit the site to give updates on how its going for me and also hear your updates as well. I am going to try it for 14days then go a week on fruits and vegetables then another 14days. I am going to try this diet this way for 40 days.

Bunmi: It’s best that you should use maple syrup and nothing else as maple syrup is the best ingredient for the cayenne pepper diet. You can lose some weight there, maybe even more than 2 dress sizes. (depends on individuals)
trynagetslim: Don’t listen to what frenchmustard, you won’t have bleeding as a side effect.
Extra exercising is not required.
You will be going to the bathroom frequently if you drink the detox tea or salt water flush.
It’s best to use maple syrup and not honey.
May 16th, 2009 at 9:56 pm
whoa, frenchmustard did u say that bleeding is a side effect???? wtf. Seriously would like to know more about this so called master cleanse miracle diet. Can I use honey instead of the maple syrup? or is it required also does it send u to the bathroom frequently? Is extra excercising a required as well.
May 16th, 2009 at 11:26 am
hi,
Is it possible 2 do this diet without the maple syrup coz its pretty impossible 2 get the maple syrup wher i am. Im about 2 start the diet and im wonderin if i can drop 2 dress sizes?
May 15th, 2009 at 7:26 am
ozy and s&f. Thankyou for your kind thoughts. Ozy ‘where you be for longtime travel’ ? lol rofl. Terry always like your post which with intelect is good to him lol rofl hahahahah.
Seriously, we are burying Terry next Monday. He wanted to be cremated but the council say we can’t due to health and safety regulations. We have had to find a funeral director that has a hazardous waste certificate.
Ozy. Terry always liked the pangolin due to the extra large sticky tongue which could get round very tight bends.
May 15th, 2009 at 7:16 am
Genise: I agree with you and I went on this diet to shed some weight which has gone esp. well and I believe FrenchMustard has had great success.
I am a big believer and prey as much as I can with this faith it helped me to complete this task
John: Thats really sad news I’m sure we all will remember your brother for his quick in and out approach to life
eestgirl: Hows the diet going?

Hey John, that is so sad
( I travel frequently for past 7 days and have missed comments. Please are you forgiving me but was he attempting the ultimate cleanse? I ask for the pangolin impacts much joy on the prostate from the exfoliation. If you can be agreeing, you must please be consoling yourself with the intellect that your brother died in a much happy place.
May 14th, 2009 at 12:04 pm
Guys. I know some of you people have spoken with my brother Terrence “The change man” Fwit. It is with deep regret that I have to announce the death of my brother Terrence on May 9th after a sudden felching accident. He suffered a fatal spike injury to the diverticulum whilst attempting to expel a pangolin. Although he never posted he was a big fan of this excellent web site and loved to read your comments.

Wow! I have been reading all the threads and I must say at points I was excited and at others I was totally scared of failing! I am officially starting Day 1. Yesterday was supposed to be day one and then I went and ate McDonalds:( I have a wedding coming up in exactly one month and my bridesmaid dress is way to tight! Not only focusing on the weight loss aspect, internally my organs can do with a cleanse. I just had the salt water flush and yes the taste is horrid but just drink it fast – while posted near a bathroom. Keep the support running.
May 13th, 2009 at 4:39 am
Wow! I have been reading all the threads and I must say at points I was excited and at others I was totally scared of failing! I am officially starting Day 1. Yesterday was supposed to be day one and then I went and ate McDonalds…

May 12th, 2009 at 8:18 pm
I have started the cleansing this evening, and will officially start it in the morning. I am doing it to be healthy, and to loose weight. You say this is not healthy to do just to loose weight?? That is the main reason I am doing it and I am sure others are too…the celebrate’s are doing it to loose weight. Fasting can be spiritual, mental, and for health reasons.
May 12th, 2009 at 7:24 pm
GiGi: Welcome back! It’s been sometime since I see you here! Sorry to hear that you got an ear infection. Hope you have recovered from it.. And all the best losing 30 pounds although I’ll say it’s not healthy to do the cayenne pepper diet because you want to lose weight.
eestigirl: Chewing gum have lots of sugar in it! And it’ll not do you any good during the cleanse. even after the cleanse, it’s not good to chew gum too.
May 12th, 2009 at 2:42 pm
Emma – good suggestion. I will try to keep it mainly organic! Gotta splurge every now and then!!
By the way – Can I Chew gum or anything? I haven’t so far… But wondering!
Mz GiGi – GOOD LUCK! If I CAN do it, anyone can do it!!! Wo woooo!!
May 12th, 2009 at 1:43 pm
Hello to all…. i am back. I was sick with an ear infection and it ruined my diet:(… Although i have not put the weight back on that i had lost during my 4 days of the diet….. YAAAY
But now i am back to day one…. I have decided to officially start tomorrow so i will be needing you alls support and encouragement. I have a good 30 pounds that i want to lose so here goes…. AGAIN
May 12th, 2009 at 10:46 am
eestigirl: You are most welcomed! I guess the admin doesn’t mind having us sharing our thoughts here. Yes, it’s all our mind playing all the tricks.
And seems like we have the same favorite hobby! – going out to eat and try cooking different things at home. I’m trying to improve my pasta for the past month.
I love organic food! Simple, refreshed and nice! oh by the way, when you get out of the cleanse – try to stick to liquid organic fruits and food so your body system don’t get to accumulate toxins again.
May 12th, 2009 at 8:29 am
and another thing: doesn’t just the simplest foods sound good? it will give me a refreshed appetite for foods i got tired of!woo woo!
May 12th, 2009 at 8:25 am
Emma: Thank you! A lot of the “hunger” that we feel like we have is mental really. I mean the amounts of food we eat is definitely not what we need in our bodies. We’re really not as hungry as our EYES and GREED make us out to be. I love food, don’t get me wrong. My favorite things is to go out to eat and try different things and cook at home. In fact, I want to go to culinary school. But I think there’s more to it than nonstop starvation we claim to have. Sorry for all the thoughts…
May 12th, 2009 at 7:04 am
eestigirl: I won’t recommend you having carrots and celery or some low sugar fresh fruit when super starving. In fact you should not consume anything, but according to this master cleanse guide at http://bit.ly/1a5wsC , you can have hoodia to help you from starving.
Other ways include you to add a little more maple syrup so you can lick them to keep yourself from starving.
The first 3 days are the hardest! After the first 3 days, everything will be a breeze, so hang in there!
May 12th, 2009 at 6:16 am
Thank you for the reply in regards to my note! My day two now… From lunch through dinner it was the hardest time yesterday… people’s delicious food smells were just killing me! I fought through it though, I don’t want to fail in the first 3 days!!! So right now I’m not hungry, which is weird, but I’m going with it. I hope it stays this way… I’ve had some friends who did this diet, and said that they would have like carrots or celery or some low sugar fresh fruit when they were just super starving. What are your thoughts on that? Thank you again.
May 11th, 2009 at 5:52 pm
Hi eestigirl, it’s great to hear that you are starting the master cleanse diet. And I hope you’ll have a cleansed and healthy body after the 14 days. If you need any help or support, come to this site and whoever online will give you a hand. All the best!
May 11th, 2009 at 11:10 am
HI Everybody. It’s been great reading everybody’s experience. This is the first time I’m doing this diet. And today is my day #1. I’m planning on 14 days. I don’t mind the taste at all, it’s just a lemonade with a kick. It’s all about staying focused and resist temptations. I mean it’s only 14 days out of my life. All the food will be there when I’m done with this; and I hope I will lose the weight that I need as well as feel refreshed and my body will be cleansed!!!! I will be following up on this site for support and your stories and daily logs, it’s very good and helps to stay motivated! Thank you all!!!
May 9th, 2009 at 12:28 am
nona: don’t worry about it. probably most of them are on the diet. and enjoying the experience. how are you on the cleanse so far?
May 8th, 2009 at 12:24 pm
I guess I scared everyone away. SORRY GUYS!
May 6th, 2009 at 12:45 pm
Hey all! I am on Day 3. Glad to see there are real-time others in this with me.
I personally have been doing the 60 oz of Lemonade drink with a cup of herbal laxative tea for breakfast. In the evening I am alternating between the Tea and the SWF daily. I am taking the cayenne pepper pills. they are effective, let me tell you!
I haven’t done any exercising but my Father-In-Law had an emergency “elimination” on the golf course. Once you start this count on every fart NOT actually being a fart! LOL. Your poop/fart separator gets busted. (Sorry if that was too much info!)
May 6th, 2009 at 11:46 am
i am 17 years old just had a baby but im 180 i was 170 after i gave birth im gaining wieght …i want to try this diet but cant find a local store where i can buy these ingredients doese any one know where to get the ingredients
May 6th, 2009 at 9:06 am
TB: I have heard of the use of liquid form, can’t remember where but there’s this guy who does not recommend it because it’s not as good (in terms of the health benefits) as powder. I personally have not tried it yet.
May 6th, 2009 at 8:50 am
Thanks EMMA and admin:
I just found out there is also a liquid form of cayenne pepper which has received good reviews that can be used instead of the powder. Has anyone heard of this?
Thnaks for the support all.
May 6th, 2009 at 8:44 am
TB & Emma: Actually you can try the capsules instead of the cayenne pepper powder. I would say the difference is not that great so doesn’t matter. Some say it is difficult to digest but don’t worry too much about it.
May 6th, 2009 at 7:44 am
TB: About the cayenne pepper, I myself is able to take the taste of the cayenne pepper but I have heard 1 or 2 dieters having trouble with the diet. But my question to you is whether you have put the amount of cayenne pepper correctly? Or whether is the ingredients correct?
Depending on the cayenne pepper pill, but usually the pill would have a different impact on the diet and may not be as beneficial as the powder form.
Salt Water Flush – Yes, many people are unable to take the salt water flush. You can have the laxative tea instead of the salt water flush.
Hope this would help you.
May 6th, 2009 at 7:29 am
I just started this diet and am into my first day. I can hardly get use to the taste of the cayeenne pepper in the lemonade so asking anyone who knows. Does the pill form of the pepper take aways any of the benefits of the regular non-pill form? Does anyone find this taste as nasty as me. I haven’t did the salt-water flush but I’ve heard lots of complaints about the taste so if its worst, I am into a big challenge. any help
May 5th, 2009 at 4:09 am
Smoke: avoid taking vitamins as it would complicates the detoxification process of the master cleanse. The other questions are all answered in the ‘ask a question’ section at http://cayennepepperdiet.org/ask-a-question.
Ozymandias: Stay strong and discipline throughout the diet! Hope your headaches would soon be gone soon after your body has detoxified. Share your experience with all of us as you gone through each day!
And yes it is always recommended to buy a guide or book to ensure you are doing it right.
We have researched through the net and read through all the guides and found these 2 guides the best.
1) Master Cleanse Insider – http://tinyurl.com/bskst8
2) Master Cleanse Secrets – http://bit.ly/1a5wsC
By the way, if you guys are using twitter, you can follow our site tweets at http://twitter.com/CayenneDiet to keep updated of our comments and latest news. Catch you guys in there!
May 4th, 2009 at 11:50 pm
Wow! I am much excited about all the new activities and people who are making on the diet journey. I reach my day 4 now and am feeling flush, some headaches early but not for many days now.
Smoke, I advise that you no eat anything but much lemonades, you get all your goodness from the cayenne liquor. The flush is what is urges your body to clean, like admin say I believe you to be buying a book or video if you depend for someone’s explaining.
May 4th, 2009 at 10:04 pm
I’m trying to start this diet, but had a few questions maybe some of you could answer.
-While on the diet can you still take multi-vitamins?
-Can you still run and work out?
-What exactly is the salt water flush
May 3rd, 2009 at 9:37 pm
Hi Gina, you should drink a minimum of 60 oz of lemonade each day. Do note that you should use 10 oz of water instead of 8 oz for each serving. You can drink more lemonade if you want to.
And yes you should drink as much water as possible. We won’t recommend you to drink too much laxative tea though. You can do some light exercises if you want but do not over exert yourself.
Gina, did you buy any book or references regarding the Cayenne Pepper Diet? It sounds like you don’t really know the exact directions. I would advise you to get a guide so that you know you are doing it right.
May 3rd, 2009 at 7:59 pm
im gonna be starting the cayenne pepper diet tomorrow… was wondering how often or how many glasses can i drink… cus the 8oz water mix is not much for one whole day!
SO AGAING MY QUESTION: HOW MANY “LEMONADE” DRINKS CAN I DRINK.
and i believe water is unlimited, and lax. tea right?
another quick q? excersise allowed? maybe not cardio, but was thinking sit ups n launges
thanks,
gina
May 2nd, 2009 at 7:30 pm
Just wondering how’s your experience with the master cleanse? I see many people are on the diet in the comments.
April 30th, 2009 at 6:12 am
Phew! I’ve been trying to post for a couple of days and was getting a little worried as without the support of my fellow starvationists things have been really touch and go.
Ozy: Good Luck it gets easier once you realise that mental strength is stronger than mite!
FM: Thanks for the words of encouragement and congrats with reaching the end it is indeed a purple one
FW: YoYo! that brings back memoirs up there with space raiders!
Well day 10 & I’m nearly to my 14 day goal – keep crackin’ on
Peace & Love always

Ozy (ASL?),
good luck on the journey. Hope your taking a portable crapper with you. Incidently, I find that I make much longer skid marks with Porches Cayennes than with any other so be careful what you use.
April 30th, 2009 at 4:49 am
Hey John, how are your progress? I am about beginning my journey, I just collected my organic cayennes from the store. With much excitement, wish me luck!!!
April 30th, 2009 at 2:21 am
I agree with admin. Eat too much and you’ll turn into moose knuckle. The diet is about detoxing and curing disease and weight loss is secondary.
April 30th, 2009 at 12:22 am
Yo!
I was googlin round t tinterweb on me nite off un came across ur site. So wots t deal wit this ere diet and pork-swine-fever? I dunno really tink i need lose me no weight at t mo but am interestin in keepin me thang clean!

April 27th, 2009 at 9:23 am
vanderknapp: that would depends on your regular balanced diet. If your regular balanced diet is a healthy diet, chances are you would not ‘yoyo’ back.
Do take note that when you are into the diet, losing weight is the by product of the diet but should not be the main focus.
April 27th, 2009 at 12:58 am
I’ve recently seen some questions and comments, both here and on the web in general, concerning the efficacy of the cayenne pepper diet against infection by the new strain of swine influenza. I am particularly concerned as I have partaken in backdoor pork on numerous occasions and would like to protect myself.
Does anyone know how the immune system reacts to stimulation with lemonade and cayenne pepper ? I’ve noticed that cayenne pepper causes me to sweat much like when I have a cold or flue and obviously this means that cayenne pepper acts in a similar manner to a virus when in the body. Does it confer any form of immunity ?
April 26th, 2009 at 11:06 am
I am interested in trying out this diet.
My only question is once i have lost the weight and i want to go back to my regular balanced diet, will i not yoyo back??
April 25th, 2009 at 2:27 am
All the best John. You can always share with us your experiences in our site.

Starting on monday. Need to lose 16 pounds in next 14 days.
April 25th, 2009 at 2:09 am
John Fwit has recalled the last post.
April 24th, 2009 at 1:15 pm
Starting today. Need to lose 60 pounds in next 4 days.
April 24th, 2009 at 11:53 am
Emma. I was right then. The salt water flush is something to do with a toilet : Lol rofl hahaha
jk heheheh.
Stick with it GiGi. Listen to Emma and not me although I HAVE just FINISHED a 14 DAY cleanse. I feel great. Lost 35 pounds and don’t want to find them again. Fhua Tee, I’m on the next Cathay PAcific flight and I’ll match the Arabian pound for pound. Good to here your ass is better than longtime.
Short and Fat ?????? dude, ONLY 10 Pounds? Thats a medium sized ewok. Not bad for 4 days man. Just think, in 10 days you’ll have shat a complete dwarf and in 12 days a Scotsman.
Seriously though guys, you’ve been great. Got to buy all the books before I do this again in about 6 weeks. I’ll try that salt water fish as well JK rofl lol hahah I mean flush.
Fhua Tee. You can get all the books online at http://cayennepepperdiet.org/cayennepepperdiet.php?id=A100002&v=1 I’ll be ordering them soon.
I certainly commend this diet to all celebs and wanabees. I’m sure if Robbie Williams tried this diet he’d be producing new records within hours.
April 24th, 2009 at 10:21 am
GiGi: To do the salt water flush, you would need to prepare the salt water solution by mixing a teaspoon of organic sea salt (not iodized salt) with a liter of water. As much as possible, consume the entire salt water solution in one go. You can drink the solution in increments or installments if you can tolerate the taste.
And the most important thing is to stay close to the toilet. I can tell you that you will regret not staying close to the toilet.
April 24th, 2009 at 6:36 am
Okay so back to day one = (. I am ready this time. And lucky for me i am not even hungry one bit.
Emma: that is amazing that this is your 3rd time doing this. I can barely make it past the first time… LOL
But I can say that my failure has made me more determined to complete it this time. Especially now that I have you guys.
Short and not fat n e more=): that is amazing that you have lost 10 pounds in four days OMG!! I am applauding you. You should feel gr8 about that… in six more days at the rate you are going you will be looking better than ever!
I tried the herbal laxative and that has made me feel much lighter…. LOL. I am curious to know….. How exactly do you do the salt water flush??
April 24th, 2009 at 12:29 am
Today is goodest day in longtime. I finis cleaning the inside parts today and am go back work. Today I look good better than longtime and I see 3 from america and rich man from arabia just in morning.

April 24th, 2009 at 12:03 am
Well Day 4 and a part from a severe case of flatulance things are going ok.
Mz GiGi: I too had a couple of false starts and I have to be honest and say today is possibly the first day I haven’t wanted meat!
I weighed myself for the first time today and was a little disappointed with only loosing 10 pounds, think I may try the salt water flush to speed things along.
Emma: Wow! 3 times we are truly humbled
To all on here my days wouldn’t be the same without you (sorry a little emotional, not diet related though)
Life, Love and Eternal Sunshine to you all
S&(not quite so)F
April 23rd, 2009 at 6:57 pm
Mz GiGi: I’ve finished the cleanse last week and this is my third time doing the cleanse.
It’s good to hear that you have lost 6 pounds even though you have cheated. But you have the discipline and courage to start the whole lemonade diet from the start. You can always count on us for support. =)
April 23rd, 2009 at 12:34 pm
Thank you to all for the advice and support. However, I cheated last night and ate chicken…. so today is day one…. I am so embarrassed and now I have to stick to it… although, even though I cheated I have lost 6 pounds as of today…… today would have been day 4 but because of my bad behavior it is day one all over again:(
please you guys do not stop responding to me, I need support very badly. this is HARD…..
Shorandfat: I agree with you I think that prayer is going to be the only thing that will get me through this=)
Emma: thank you for your response…. what day are you on?
Frenchmustard: you are very hilarious…. a bit weird but for the most part hilarious!!!!
April 23rd, 2009 at 1:10 am
Hi S&F. Sorry about yesterday.
I’m like you. If I get anything in my mouth I have to swallow, it’s the polite thing to do. I just can’t bring myself to spit.
Glad to see you have the lord on your side. Preying is good. I like to go out in the evening and prey. My friend Rajisty introduced me to the power of the Lord and we go happy clappy every sunday. I’ve find it very comforting to contemplate how the lord moves in mysterious ways whilst I sit and have mysterious movements.
17 hours left till the end. They won’t recognise me at work next week.
April 23rd, 2009 at 12:39 am
Emma,
. This diet seems to have made one end smart but left the other end as dim as mongs cranium lol.
I followed the link to your website. I understand the “Salt Water Flush”
Sorry if you thought my advise was inaccuarate. I was only trying to help. After 13 days on the diet I’m starting to halucinate a bit which means I’m talking rubish most of the time.
I’m stopping in 18hrs. Should have lost 34 pounds. Does anyone know of any pills I can buy that will help me keep the weight off when I stop the diet. does anyone have experience with dangleberry fruit tea ?
April 23rd, 2009 at 12:38 am
Hi Mz Gigi and Emma, It’s nice to have company when your starving.
Mz Gigi: I’ve tried the chew but don’t swallow many times before but everytime I just can’t help myself. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea but I find praying and mental reflection helps me to forget the cravings.
Emma: I agree with you that FM’s advice can be some what strange to say the least but we are in this together!
Well day 3 for me, keep the faith
Peace and Love
S&F
April 22nd, 2009 at 8:18 pm
Hi Mz GiGi, regarding the salt water flush, you can actually use herbal teas instead. Salt water flush may be very strong for most people and they are unable to withstand the effect of it.
Another note is you would only need to do until day 10 for a start. not 14 days. Most people do 10 days only.
Chew on food: hmmm.. i think you won’t be able to resist the temptations of not swallowing it. I won’t recommend you to chew food.
Do take note of whose advice you are listening to. I don’t think frenchmustard is giving you accurate advice.
Regards,
Emma

28/M/Rome (originally eider down in michigan).
I’m not sure what a salt water flush is. Over here they just have the normal one where you press the handle and everything gets washed away. Maybe someone else can help ?
I would say that it’s best not to put anything in your mouth if you think you’ll be tempted to swallow. You can try spitting but that can be considered rude.
I’m not sure what effect herbal tea would have. I have a freind who drinks loads of dangleberry fruit tea and he says it is excellent. I’ve never tried it though so can’t advise.
You only need to last 14 days though. Is there anyone that could maybe lock you up in a room if that helps.
One trick I thought of but didn’t use is not only getting rid of your food but you could get rid of all your clothes. Think about it for a minute. When you finish the diet none of your clothes will fit so you don’t need them. Also, if you have no clothes in the house you can’t be tempted to go out for food. Give all your old clothes to the local spaz shop then order some new ones online to be delivered at the end of your diet. Good idea do you think ? Let me know if you try it.

22/ F/ MD, what about yourself french mustard? I was asking about a salt water flush not salt water fish… i read somewhere that the salt water flush helps with the diet….but n e ways…. i am Still STARVING and i want some food…. however, this is only day three and i am determined to make it to day 14 at least.
Ouestion what if i chew the food and then spit it out??? Does that count against my diet?????
just a question…..

Mz GiGi (ASL?).
Avoid salt water fish if you can. In fact any kind of fish or meat is just going to ruin the diet. Admin gives good advise about avoiding contact with food. For the first two days of my diet I watched telly wearing a pair of goggles made from the bottoms of pringles tins. That made the commercials impossible to watch.
Empty your fridge and give all the good stuff to your family. If there’s any rubbish left you can give it to your local mong club.
I have two days left now before the diet is over. Will let you know how much I have lost. I think you’ll be impressed.

Mz GiGi, most of the people usually starve after the first day of the master cleanse diet. You can let us know exactly what you did for the master cleanse so we can tell you whether it is right.
One way to curb the hunger is to remove all the food from your sight. Even the commercials from the television would tempt you to eat.
Hope to hear from you soon.

Hi shortandfat (ASL ?). I’ve now been on the diet for 18 days and I’ve lost 28 pounds. I think only about 1 pound of that loss was blood. The rest appears to be pure fat. This is certainly one of the hardest things I’ve done but the results are well worth it. I’m looking forward to all the poontang I’ll get once all the weight has gone lol rofl jk
.
Keep it up and I’m sure you’ll soon be longandslim.
Danny Mac. Did you start the diet yet ? Let me know if you get any side effects. Remember, if the bleeding gets too much it may be that your colon has been static for too long. Just stop the diet and start again after a few days. It can also help to felch the colon every couple of days if you aren’t used to a diet like this. Get yourself a small kif to help if you know one.

FM: How long have you been on the diet now? I find your posts compelling and a great source of encouragement.
DM: I too started the diet today and wish you well, do you have a weight lose target?

Update. I am now 13 days into my lemonade/cayennepepper diet and have lost just under 24 pounds. That’s nearly 2 pounds a day. Only 32 pounds to go. I’m not suffering any side effects now except that my pubes are changing colour. Has anyone else experienced this ? It’s no big deal but I was just curious.

My colon are enduring pain for many months from when I have a accident quickly felching and I am not anymore beautyful for my man. I have found to my joy that the diet has removed all the out of order things from my inner part.
I have been astonished how much like rubber has observed. Your diet has been the better thing for my life longtime. I can now believe, as some said anything told to me about the diet. I shall say sorry for my english is not good.

I tried this for six days and shat like it was going out of fashion. I had broken my leg three days before starting but by the end of the 6 days I could run again. It even seems to have made me more intelligent and less credulous.
Thankyou. xxxxx

I have done this diet. It didn’t cure my colitis.
The detox also gives you great joint pain.
I would say the pepper is good for you and the lemon is good for you. They clear the sinuses.
