are we allowed to eat anything while on the diet?
August 10th, 2010 at 5:11 pm
@josh : you can only stay with the liquid cleanse with the lemon concentrate based on the recipe. But you can have water, salt water flush, and the laxative tea.
August 10th, 2010 at 11:48 am
yes my question is during the 10 day cleanse can you eat anything as far as whole foods or just stay with the liquid cleanse with the lemons and all ??? please let me know…
August 1st, 2010 at 8:23 pm
@genie deutsch : from the sound of it, it may be a coincidence. It’s probably a placebo effect and you would probably need some time to test it yourself in order to prove it. Why not, try it for a week and 2 to see if it helps.

I feel more energetic but my coworkers are concerned how fast the weight dropped and that I’m a little lightheaded.
August 1st, 2010 at 6:16 pm
@Heidi : How do you feel overall in general? Do you feel more energetic? more cleansed? Most people told us that they really feel great on the cleanse.

can hot peppers alleviate nerve/osteoarthritis pain and peripheral neuropathy problems?
Yesterday I had some green chili peppers and some hot pepper sauce with chinese food. A shoulder discomfort that I have been dealing with for months has improved remarkably, the peripheral neuropathy following an attack of shingles is greatly improved.
Is there a relationship, or just a coincidence?

April 9th, 2010 at 1:32 am
@Deno : Hi Deno, I don’t think you can use pure honey rather than maple syrup. However, in the original master cleanse, Stanley Burrough mention that you could use organic sugar cane instead. Do you think you can get that?
April 9th, 2010 at 1:23 am
Hi There
My name is Deno from South Africa I want to know if I can use pure honey instead of maple syrup in this diet ?
Can anyone reply please
April 4th, 2010 at 7:36 pm
I have read over the answers and it was said to do the SWF in the am…I have been doing it at night – is this ok. Also I have a small problem…I am a cook and am cooking all day every day and sometimes have to ‘test’ stuff for seasonigs. I usually have someone do it for me since I have been on the cleanse, but have caught myself out of habit tasting a sauce…Do I need to start the cleanse over from day one?

What is the recommended recipe and instructions for diabetics following the Cayenne Pepper Diet?
February 6th, 2010 at 7:10 pm
@JohnnyBoy : I don’t think you can use organic agave nectar unless you are diabetic.
February 6th, 2010 at 3:14 pm
Can i substitute Organic Agave Nectar in place of the Maple Syrup?
February 3rd, 2010 at 8:51 pm

February 1st, 2010 at 10:21 pm
@lum marcellien : That’s very difficult to say. If you cheated, maybe you would like to stop first and after a week or so and you continue on it again?
February 1st, 2010 at 8:57 pm
if you cheat and eat 2 slices of pizza on you 5th day can you still keep going with the diet. or are there special things to do so that you results are not effected? or do you have to stop all together?
January 31st, 2010 at 6:22 pm
@april : the peppermint tea actually helps in elimination. It is the laxative tea you would for the master cleanse just like the salt water flush.
January 31st, 2010 at 6:18 pm
I noticed that the master cleanse kit also contains peppermint tea. I don’t see this item in the actual recipe, what exactly is it for?
January 27th, 2010 at 11:45 am
I have two questions. Can you workout while doing this cleanse? Can you take birth control while one this detox?
January 24th, 2010 at 9:59 pm
How long can you take this cleanse? can it be more than ten days? Will it be harmful to your body to do it for months? will it work if someone ate 1 apple along with the cleanse
January 20th, 2010 at 6:20 am
@Errol : You would need to check about the salt used. I’m not 100% sure but some salt may be okay like himalayan salt crystals.
January 20th, 2010 at 4:48 am
Isn’t the amount of salt that needs to be taken in the lemonade, detrimental for High blood pressure sufferers?
January 10th, 2010 at 1:22 am
Hi How much of the SWF should I drink each morning?
I assume 1 glass.
January 9th, 2010 at 7:29 am
@mariam : I’m not too sure whether chili pepper is the same as cayenne pepper, but you can be sure that red pepper is the same as cayenne pepper.
January 9th, 2010 at 4:59 am
is this cayenne pepper same as chili pepper
December 9th, 2009 at 7:06 am
Can you identify what the ph level of cayenne pepper rate?
December 7th, 2009 at 6:23 pm
@Jamie D : no, I’m afraid you can’t.. for the diet, you can’t eat anything except the lemonade mixture. Maybe you can try to lick the maple syrup to help you with the hunger.
December 7th, 2009 at 6:08 pm
Is there absolutely anything i can eat while on this diet? feel like my stomach is eating itself. PLEASE HELP
November 27th, 2009 at 1:17 am
@lily : Generally for cayenne pepper diet, you don’t really use laxatives to use weight, you used it to detox your body.
For the salt water flush, take it every morning of the 10 days and the laxative tea, in the night.
November 26th, 2009 at 2:17 pm
how do i use laxatives to lose weight ?
do i take them before or after?
November 15th, 2009 at 5:00 am
@Tiffany : Yes, you can take the pills too, or alternatively, you can put the cayenne pepper into capsules (those DIY kind) and swallow it, while you are on the cayenne pepper diet.
November 15th, 2009 at 4:19 am
@Elaine : I’m not too understand your question, are you asking whether the cayenne pepper will help you with easing the pain? Yes cayenne pepper is known to help you with digestion problem.
I’m not too sure your diagnosis of your illness so it’s very hard to say what foods that you should avoid.
But for foods, as the author of alkaline diet, I would say that tomatoes are acidic, you may want to avoid it. You might want to take extra caution on food combination. For example, you want to avoid mixing meat with starch or carbohydrates. In a meal, always a large portion of vegetables.
Other tips I would share with you is to avoid eating sugar food as well, as your body will become acidic and lead to excessive gas or wind in your stomach. I hope this help.. You can take a look at my book at http://www.thealkalinediet.org/course.html
November 15th, 2009 at 2:32 am
I am having a problem with wind collecting in my stomach not always but mostly after eating some raw foods so Have gone on a bland diet until tests come back to the clinic
A friend recommended I take a tsp of cayenne in some liquid every morning & it seems to be helping plus when I am unable to release the wind & the pain it causes I take this remedy which instantly gives me ease
Are there certain foods I should stay away from like Tomatoes lettuce etc I love tomatoes as a sauce but at the moment am wary of trying
Please help
Elaine

I was wondering because I’m not a spicy food eater, in place in the cayenne pepper powder could I take a pill instead. If so, how would I incorporate it in the diet/cleanse? Thank you in advance.
October 25th, 2009 at 9:29 am
Can you give me the diet. I can’t find the proportions on your website.
October 22nd, 2009 at 10:29 am
When you say sugar cane do you mean the juice from the fruit?
October 22nd, 2009 at 10:27 am
Thanks for the speedy reply, please advise why honey cannot be a substitute for the maple syrup. Can molasses be a substitute for the maple syrup?
I live on an island and it is difficult to find organic maple syrup.
Thanks in advance
October 22nd, 2009 at 7:30 am
@Vinnette : Unfortunately, honey is not a substitute for organic maple syrup for the cayenne pepper diet, you can try sugar cane instead.
October 22nd, 2009 at 7:00 am
Hello, thanks for your reply previously. I have another question: Can I substitute organic honey for the organic maple syrup?
Thanks in advance
October 20th, 2009 at 6:04 pm
Hi, could i consume fruits or pure juiced fruits; also will i have enough energy to function at work or cotinue my studies
October 20th, 2009 at 11:11 am
Hi
I would like to know if it is possible to use real honey instead of maple syrup?
October 19th, 2009 at 8:22 am
@Vinnette : As long as you used organic limes, and organic maple syrup grade a, you can use them too. =)
Do let us know if you have any more questions!
October 19th, 2009 at 6:30 am
Can I use limes rather than lemons and grade a maple syrup rather tha grade b?
October 16th, 2009 at 9:48 am
@Nisha : I won’t think there would be a concern with your medication but generally one should not be on over the counter medication when going on the diet. For your case, it’s a little different as the doctor prescribed to you. However for your age, it seems that you are a little too young to do the diet.
But sorry to hear about your health conditions. I never really hear that before but is that a genetic illness?
October 16th, 2009 at 9:39 am
Hi, I am a young 18 year old girl who was thinking about the cayenne pepper diet. I’m not diagnoised with any heart condition, although I have Pleurisy or Pleuritis. I take fluxentine (because the doctor says that I have a heart beat that is a little too fast) to slow my heart beat down. The doctors did an EKG and said that everything was normal with my heart and that my left ventricle wall is a little thick but not abnormal. Is my medication a concern since I will be doing the cayenne pepper diet?
October 3rd, 2009 at 7:13 pm
My husband takes 2 Cayenne Pepper supplements each 40000 H.U. per day. Every day shortly after taking this quantity along with other daily supplements he experiences gas for a couple of hours. We both take supplements daily the difference being he takes Cayenne Pepper and I don’t. Since I’m not exhibiting this nightly expelling of gas, I’m wondering if the Cayenne Pepper is causing it. Thanks.
October 3rd, 2009 at 10:14 am
@Aremu : Yes, you can definitely take cayenne pepper diet even if you have ulcer.
October 3rd, 2009 at 10:09 am
Can a person that has ulcer take cayene pepper diet ?
September 25th, 2009 at 8:40 pm
@Katonna : The cayenne pepper diet is alright for people with diabetes but you would require to use a different recipe, here’s where you can find the different recipe for diabetes at http://themastercleanserecipe.org/master-cleanse-recipe/alternative-master-cleanse-recipe
Do let us know if you have any question and feel free to come back to http://cayennepepperdiet.org/ask-a-question and post your question.
September 25th, 2009 at 8:20 pm
hi
I would like to know the cayenne pepper diet for people with diabetes. Please e-mail it to me.
Sincerely
Katonna
September 1st, 2009 at 6:34 pm
Hi Trellis, I would say that the sea salt water flush is more effective than the organic laxative tea. Some people can’t eliminate with the organic tea but after switching to salt water flush, they have no problem with the bowel movements.
September 1st, 2009 at 10:28 am
Hi, thanks for all the tips. Is it more effective to do the sea salt water flush than it is for the organic laxative Tea? Do both produce the same results when taken at night and morning? Thanks in advance.
August 30th, 2009 at 9:20 am
Hi Joseph, it’s very difficult for many people to find cayenne pepper as not many people know about cayenne pepper and as a result, there are not many suppliers in the world selling cayenne pepper.
So if you too like cayenne pepper, do spread the word about it and hopefully one day, there would be more stores selling it.
August 30th, 2009 at 9:07 am
Just a quick tidbit. When eating any pepper you should always add a little garlic (powder or garlic salt) this will help you from getting a stomach ache and other side effects(burning tail end). I have eaten Mexican food all my life and Mom says!
August 30th, 2009 at 9:00 am
I am having a wonderful summer growing cayenne peppers. I have lots of them and they are great in all the foods I eat. My question is, Why I can’t find them in the grocery store. I live in New Mexico and have not problem finding other peppers.
August 19th, 2009 at 5:26 pm
Hi Jan, I think for a 12 year old, it’s not advisable for them to go on this diet as their body are still growing and they need all the nutrients and vitamins to grow. They don’t have too much toxins in their body compare to an adult. We would suggest that only until they reach around 18-19 before doing the cleanse.
August 19th, 2009 at 4:28 pm
Hi, great website! Thanks… I’m an committed cleanser (have done 15 in the last 9 years) and now my 12 year old daughter – already obsessed with weight and and all that – asked me if she could do it too. Do you think it’s ok for 12 year old kids to do this?
August 14th, 2009 at 7:01 pm
chula: you can drink 6-10 servings in a day. If you want to drink more, it’s alright too.
August 14th, 2009 at 6:05 pm
how much of the drink can be consumed a day? I’ve been consuming about 2liters of the drink. Is thiss too much?
July 27th, 2009 at 4:25 am
Cayenne Pepper add too V–8 Weightloss- Fasting
July 22nd, 2009 at 6:01 am
Cindy: It’s best not to chew gums or mints during the cleanse. Gun contains sugar which defeats the purpose of the cleanse.
July 18th, 2009 at 8:07 pm
Can I chew gum or have mints?
July 17th, 2009 at 6:20 pm
You can use the special maple syrup that is made specially for diabetic. I’ve saw it somewhere in the supermarket. I’m not sure if there’s one over in your country. For type 2 diabetics, you can use agave syrup.
You can go to this site which provides the recipe for diabetics. http://themastercleanserecipe.org/master-cleanse-recipe/alternative-master-cleanse-recipe
July 17th, 2009 at 1:17 pm
HELLO. i WOULD LIKE TO START THIS DIET BUT I AM A DIABETIC. CAN I JUST USED THE CAYENNE PEPPER AND LEMONADE AND LEAVE OUT THE MAPLE SYRUP?
July 14th, 2009 at 10:15 am
leonakalei: As long as the maple syrup is natural, you don’t have to worry whether it’s grade a or b. By natural, we mean organic.
July 13th, 2009 at 9:56 pm
why does it have to be grade B as opposed to grade A?
July 13th, 2009 at 9:11 pm
Hi Nikkita, I would say it’s like a small pinch. Some people would prepare the whole day of lemonade concentrate (around 6 servings) so they would add half a tablespoon.
July 13th, 2009 at 8:45 pm
I know you are supposed to add 1/10 of a tablespoon of pepper but how much is that?
June 29th, 2009 at 8:02 am
Yup, drinking a lot of water is recommended with this diet. Don’t worry about it.
June 29th, 2009 at 7:55 am
As with most diets, lots of water is recommended. Can you drink water while on this diet?
June 20th, 2009 at 6:48 am
Hi reem, it is not advisable to do the diet when you are pregnant. If you have yet to be pregnant, you still can go on the cayenne pepper diet. The reason being you would need to go on a fast and when you are having a baby, there may be complications.
June 20th, 2009 at 3:48 am
Can I still follow the diet if I am pregnant or planning to get pregnant?
June 12th, 2009 at 5:31 pm
can you work out?
June 5th, 2009 at 11:27 pm
Ms. Ash: Use fresh lemons because bottled lemons are not good, contains a lot of preservatives or all the nutrients are already gone.
vickie: I would think that you can lose around 20 pounds? that’s for the celebrity Beyonce. However, having said that, cayenne pepper diet is a cleanse and not a weight loss diet.
Wow.. there are so many questions unanswered..
Kayme: It is best to buy the books. Actually admin recommended some books maybe you can try those books. Otherwise, you may be doing the cleanse wrongly.
June 5th, 2009 at 11:23 pm
Kirsten and Mark: No, you can’t drink coffee because it is caffeinated. Even when you drink laxative tea, we are supposed to drink the non-caffeinated ones.
June 5th, 2009 at 12:15 pm
Can i drink coffee while i am on the cayenne pepper diet?
June 2nd, 2009 at 4:16 am
Can I drink caffeinated coffee while doing it?
June 1st, 2009 at 4:58 pm
How much weight can you loose in 10 days?
May 30th, 2009 at 9:34 am
Kami: yes, the salt water and the tea is required because it can help you to accelerate the detoxification and cleansing process. But you can do either the salt water flush or the laxative tea instead of both.
Usually dieters felt that the salt water flush is too strong and they just do the laxative tea.
May 30th, 2009 at 9:30 am
Is the salt water and the tea required?
May 26th, 2009 at 8:20 pm
is it okay that i use bottled lemon juice instead of fresh lemons?
May 26th, 2009 at 1:18 pm
Do you have to drink the sea salt flush?
May 22nd, 2009 at 5:06 pm
is buying a book mandatory or do i just drink the mixture for a matter of 10 days and it will be okay??
May 16th, 2009 at 8:02 pm
i still don’t understand how much i’m supposed to mix a day for this diet!! I’m thinking 60 oz of H2O, the 1/2 of lemon juice, the 2 tbs of the maple syrup grade b and the 1/10 tb of the pepper (whatever that calculation means). And to drink the H2O that you need to right??? Please tell me how to do it!!!!! thanx the clueless brunette
May 14th, 2009 at 11:35 am
S&F. Did you ever get the meat you was craving ? I know what you mean about the slop. After I finished my detox I had to eat out a baby for nearly a week before I could take pork again. I’ve found that since finishing the detox I’ve developed really odd cravings. I’m especially fond of the beef bayonettes that my friend is always giving me. Has anyone else developed odd tastes since finding this website.
A friend of mine is off to France next week to work some corners. Has anyone here ever tried to travel and pull tricks whilst on this detox programme ?
May 13th, 2009 at 10:43 am
Princesz: Cayenne pepper powder is not chili powder. I had this misconception very long time ago too. Cayenne pepper has more healing properties and health benefits than chili powder.
May 13th, 2009 at 4:49 am
Didi,
I agree with admin here. Why would your 16yr old want to lose weight ? Weight loss is a side effect not a reason. If she’s a bit of a lardy I’d say just cut out a few of the bacardi breezers and get some exercise. If she does decide to go ahead it’s important to remember that it isn’t a substitute for contraceptives.
I would also say that at 16 it is unlikely that enough meat has gone through your daughter’s colon to cause the sort of oxidative stress that would require a detox.
Obviously, if you don’t live in Essex then some of this information may not apply.
May 13th, 2009 at 4:39 am
is cayenne pepper powder similar to chili powder
May 10th, 2009 at 9:46 pm
didi: Why does your daughter want to try the cayenne pepper diet? If her reason for trying the cayenne pepper is because she wants to lose weight, then we won’t recommend it.
However, if she wants to cleanse and flushed her system, then shouldn’t be a problem if she does not have existing medical conditions. She can always start with a short 3-5 days and if things are going well, the next time she could do a longer one.
May 10th, 2009 at 9:13 pm
is there any age limit in this diet? my daughter wants to try it but she’s still 16 years old. do you think i should allow her? thank you.
May 5th, 2009 at 4:02 am
Jerry: it is best to avoid rigorous exercises. If you really want to work out, do those non-cardio exercises or light exercises.
May 5th, 2009 at 3:49 am
Hi Nata and Jerry, yes you cannot eat normal food right after the 10 days dieting. Below are some important guidelines from a master cleanse guide.
1st day – consume liquids only like orange juice and water. But drink it in small bites and slowly.
2nd day – continue orange juice and water but you can add light soups.
3rd day – fruits, vegetables and salads.
4th day – Avoid meat and milk. Add in only whole grains food.
Due to copyright issue, this is all our website can tell you. We recommend you to purchase this guide before you start the diet because it will help you greatly to complete the diet (accurately and effortlessly).
Read the guide in detail at http://bit.ly/1a5wsC.

May 4th, 2009 at 8:33 pm
Can I still work out and run miles daily while on this diet? Also how do I get off this diet?
May 4th, 2009 at 6:33 pm
how I get out of the diet? I know I can not eat normal food right after the 10 days dieting.
May 1st, 2009 at 5:38 am
Pete: Yes you can do a 3 days master cleanse instead of a 10 or 14 days. However do note that you may not benefit fully from the master cleanse.
Kelli: You should drink at least 60 oz of lemonade mixture daily. You can drink as many times you would like, just as long as you meet the minimum 60 oz requirement. Do you know how to make the lemonade mixture?
April 30th, 2009 at 5:13 pm
How many times a day do we drink this? How much do we drink in one day?
April 29th, 2009 at 8:45 pm
Can I do a 3 days master cleanse instead of a 10 or 14 days master cleanse? I think 10 days is too much for me as it is very long. Thanks!
April 28th, 2009 at 2:54 am
Hi Ozzy, It is best to use organic cayenne to remove the maximum toxins. Using non-organic cayenne may have add other preservatives that will add to the body’s toxins and hinder the detoxification process.
April 27th, 2009 at 11:40 pm
Hi,
Is it best to be finding organic cayennes for to remove the maximum toxins, or is regular cayennes happy?
(Sorry for English, my bad)
Ozzy
April 26th, 2009 at 8:10 pm
